Paradox Phuket

Environment: It feels like a hidden paradise, located right by Karon Beach. The Southeast Asian ambiance and perfect landscaping really set the vacation mood! It's super close to Chalong, so this hotel was a great choice for our island hopping trips. The staff were also incredibly friendly! There's a cute little black cat boss at the entrance, absolutely adorable!

The hotel's location is excellent, with convenient access from both the front and back entrances. There are restaurants, a 7-Eleven, and a self-service laundry nearby. The staff's attitude is also great; a bellhop actually jogged over to help me with my luggage before I even reached the door. They also accommodated my request for a room with a good view. Although the hotel facilities are a bit dated, overall it's pretty good. The public areas are spacious, and there are three swimming pools, though unfortunately, they close after 7 PM when the lifeguards go off duty. Karon Beach is right out the back door; it's a bit of a walk, but the bellhop can take you there in a shuttle. This was really helpful when checking out and heading to the Karon roundabout for the airport bus! Breakfast was also quite abundant, with various pastries, hot dishes, noodles, and even freshly stir-fried dishes or noodles.

Overall, it was pretty good. The location is excellent; Karon Beach is right out the hotel's back door. This time, since I was traveling with a child, I opted for a garden pool room. The downside was that there were a lot of mosquitoes on the ground floor, and it felt a bit damp. Staying in the apartment building would probably be much better. The hotel also has plenty of activities, and the kids' club was a lifesaver, allowing me some free time.

The breakfast was delicious, and the staff were very attentive and helpful. The hotel's public areas are stunning, even better than photos can capture. The location is very convenient, with several fruit and massage shops right outside. We heard the back entrance is close to the beach, but we didn't go, so I can't confirm. The room facilities were a bit dated, but the bathroom was very spacious.

First off, we were given a room at the very end of the hall, and when we walked in, the AC wasn't on, so there was a really damp, musty smell. On top of that, last night I counted my money, and today when I was out, I recounted it and found that both my friend and I were missing 100 Thai Baht each. While it's not a lot of money, the act itself is disgusting and incredibly off-putting... The rest of the hotel was pretty average. Breakfast was decent, though.
