Koyna forest escapes - Affiliated resort of club Mahindra. (visited for 3 nights as CM member from 21-24 Feb with another couple friend) Ambience - a green resort full of trees, shrubs and bushes..i observed around 26 species of birds just within the resort, that too with very little effort. Iam sure with good effort and exploration in and around the resort one will find more species. The resort has walking areas, which leads to their little farm with cow shed and poultry farm. A good swimming pool and a good green view from the balcony of the rooms. Rooms- beautifully done. No kitchenette. Has a mini fridge and kettle for tea and coffee and a canister for drinking water. Clean and tidy and housekeeping staff is very friendly. Restaurant - just next to he reception, beautiful dinning area... With the quality and taste for the food, the prices are reasonable... Felt like home cooked food, yummy tasty... Tea is expensive 😀. There is a restaurant on the main road, which is good enough, but all veg. My suggestion is to go for the resort restaurent. Roaming around: just on the main road opposite the restaurant river view they have an access to the river side... Nice place to spend few hours in the evening. They do arrange barbecue evening for the guests. 6 kms away is nehru garden, beautiful garden and will give a view to the koyna dam... If you take a guide front he gate he will take you to the back waters which is just beautiful. One of the best affiliated resort of CM, full marks, great for relaxation.
