A perfect stay in PMB. I stayed in a lovely large bedroom with a very comfortable bed (with kitchen for self-catering though I didn’t use it). I loved the excellent breakfast each morning. And very helpful and friendly staff

Beautiful lux b&b nestled in the quiet hills of Pietermaritzburg. Welcomed on our arrival and made to feel relaxed within seconds. Luxurious linen and everything was spotless. Room is surrounded excellent landscaped garden and all details have been well thought out. Highly recommend it for families, couples or friends.

We loved our stay at Lexden. We will definitely book at Lexden again. It is incredibly well located. The Lexden staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and beautifully decorated. Will definitely recommend.

Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory and left me feeling frustrated and dissatisfied. Firstly, upon booking I requested 07:30 breakfast with lactose free food. I got neither. I found the staff to be unresponsive and unhelpful in this regard but clearly the issue was that Jo never communicated my request. We were in town for a 09:00 but there was no urgency in serving the breakfast. Instead we were repeatedly reminded that breakfast is only at 08:00 on several occasions. I requested various things such as hot water, coffee, rooibos but my requests were ignored or not adequately or timeously received To make matters worse, the breakfast provided was underwhelming and unappetising, perhaps it may be because even the most basic elements took so long to be cooked. Overall, I feel that my experience at your BnB was far below the standard that I have come to expect from such accommodation. As a paying guest, I believe that I deserved better treatment and service. I hope that you will take my feedback seriously. It’s a pity because some owner managed establishments don’t often feel they need to respect the very people that keep them running in business, and Jo’s attitude towards us definitely makes her the worst host I’ve come across

Beautiful, peaceful property. Very private, 5 star room furnishings, linnen and decor. Back up power during loadshedding was a big bonus. Light, spacious deluxe accomodation. The breakfast was delicious and the variety was perfect.

Beautiful Clean place with spacious rooms that have all the amenities needed. The reception was very welcoming and we were taken by the host to the room. The atmosphere was very peaceful. All appliances were working. The wifi network was, however, very bad.

Fabulous! Really a gem in Pietermaritzburg! Would highly recommend to any visitor. All negative reviews on this venue is unfounded and groundless. Definitely worth the price and value for money. Would return any day.

Lexden experience was horrible. My reservation was cancelled last minute. Dishonest Hosts. The worst experience. I am still waiting for my refund . They could have handled this better. The booking and sudden cancellation at last was unacceptable
