Wanglang Giant Panda Exploration Camping Hotel

Located within the scenic area, the accommodation is pretty basic and not great value for money. However, staying in a log cabin is still a nice experience. The soundproofing isn't good; I could hear the neighbors talking from 5 AM, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep.

This hotel is located inside the scenic area. The room rate includes admission tickets but not transportation. It's a pretty good deal if you're staying for two days. The environmental design is also quite nice.

Because of a power outage the day before, there was no hot water for washing up on the day of check-in, which was really uncomfortable in winter. The sheets looked like they hadn't been changed; there were marks from where someone had slept on them, and the sheets were very dirty. The snow machine was on outside all night, severely disrupting my sleep. The scenic area is at an altitude, and sleeping there could cause altitude sickness. I definitely wouldn't recommend staying here.

The room environment was excellent. The hotel, including entrance tickets, had a super abundant and delicious breakfast! They even had walnut cookies! I can't believe how good they were!!! The service was also superb. They prepared dinner in the evening. On the way back, perhaps because it's the off-season, it was a bit dark, and we even encountered some small animals (a little scary), but the front desk staff comforted us. They called before our arrival and before any meals to remind us of things. The toilet was super clean, but the showerhead leaked a little, spraying water everywhere and having a slight odor. The underfloor heating was super warm; just don't turn it too high at night. The only downside was the poor soundproofing. A couple was staying next door, and we could hear them clearly at night… They woke up at 5:30 am and talked loudly until 7 am… We could hear them so clearly. Next time, during the off-season, could they separate guests into different rooms to avoid such awkward situations and prevent disturbing our rest?

Facilities: Pretty good, considering it's right inside the scenic area. Cleanliness: Much better than expected. Environment: The advantage of staying within the scenic area is that you don't need to buy additional tickets; I only bought a bus ticket for 70 yuan, which was quite a good deal. Service: The waitress was very nice. I'd come again in the spring.

With the autumn break approaching, I traveled from Chengdu to Mianyang via the Jiuzhaigou-Mianyang Expressway to Wanglang. Having seen documentaries about the Minshan Secret Realm and exploring Wanglang, I was eager to visit this nature reserve. We stayed in a triple room at the campsite, with bunk beds, which was spacious, clean, and radiant. The down comforters were very warm. The campsite incorporated many elements typical of nature campsites, conveying a natural education philosophy and atmosphere that the children enjoyed. There were some family-friendly activities available for advance booking in the evenings. The overall layout and design of the Shepherd's Farm campsite were excellent. The buffet and hot pot beef were average; perhaps due to limited capacity, they didn't offer à la carte dishes. The cultural and creative products in the area were reasonably priced, and there were some good books on nature observation/conservation. Personally, I think the following aspects could be improved: 1. The scheduling of the scenic area's sightseeing buses definitely needs improvement. Guests often had to wait in long lines with heavy luggage, often for one or two hours during peak holiday periods. A shuttle bus service between the campsite and the visitor center would be much better. 2. The front desk could provide more information and recommendations about the camp's nature education courses. 3. This was the first time I'd ever found a mouse in a hotel. It was stealing snacks by the bedside and kept me up all night. I couldn't get any sleep either, and I couldn't contact the staff. If you're afraid of mice, think twice before booking.

It's a wooden house with geothermal heating, and breakfast is available.

The price is a bit high, and the location is inside the scenic area.
