Slow Vacation Courtyard (Pingyao Ancient City Branch)

We had previously booked a 4-person room, but because the room next door was under renovation, the hotel upgraded us to two large kang (heated brick bed) rooms to avoid disturbing our rest. The beds were huge, easily accommodating 3-4 people. The hotel had a retro feel and was very clean; we really liked it. The hotel is very close to Beida Street, making it convenient for getting around. There are many snacks and popular restaurants nearby, all within walking distance. The hotel staff were very welcoming and arranged for luggage pickup and drop-off service. Since cars can only be parked outside the city, the hotel sent someone to pick up our luggage.

The butler was very friendly and added us on WeChat beforehand to inquire about our needs. The room was clean and tidy, and it was very close to the ancient street and attractions.

The hotel has a very convenient location, a pleasant and quiet environment, and clean and tidy rooms! I'm very satisfied, and the staff were very friendly and helpful! I'll definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Pingyao.

The service was excellent. A car could pick up luggage at the North Gate, but it couldn't pick up passengers, which is understandable given the ancient city's regulations. Mentioning the hotel name also got you a discount at Hongwu Ji Restaurant and Zhao Ji Copper Pot Restaurant. The guesthouse was also nice; it's a great place to stay in the ancient city.

A very satisfying stay! The price on Ctrip was the lowest online, offering the best value. The accommodation was nice, conveniently located within the old town for easy rest. It's a newly opened hotel with complete facilities. There was a smart toilet, a portable TV with a stand, and importantly, Tencent VIP membership, so we could watch "The Wonderful Night" – super fun! 🥳 The heated kang bed in the room was very soft and comfortable. There was also a refrigerator and a self-service laundry room with a dryer. They even gave us complimentary local vinegar upon check-out. The courtyard was absolutely gorgeous – highly recommended!

Facilities: I stayed on the second floor. The room was stylishly designed and featured a smart home system with voice-controlled air conditioning and curtains for easy operation. It also came with a smart thermostatic toilet and soft, skin-friendly bedding. We stayed in a family room, which was fantastic! Environment: The hotel is very close to the North Gate and West Gate, surrounded by a variety of businesses. Most importantly, it's located in the middle of the pedestrian street, making it easy to find and a tranquil retreat amidst the hustle and bustle, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Cleanliness: The rooms were clean and well-equipped, and the ground-floor garden was a delight! Service: First, before check-in, due to heavy rain, they even arranged for someone to pick up our luggage! Second, we were on the second floor and had a large suitcase, and the staff took the initiative to help us carry it and deliver it to our room. They were very responsive and proactively anticipated our needs without us even asking. 😁 The front desk lady was beautiful and welcoming. Finally, when I asked about nearby attractions, they proactively prepared an itinerary, explaining what was nearby, what was on the street, and which destinations were closest. Overall, the service was excellent! This trip to Pingyao is satisfying👍
