Pingyao Hotel

The hotel has a charming retro Republic of China aesthetic, perfect for taking photos. Parking is convenient, and it's just a 10-minute walk to the ancient town. The service attitude is excellent. My only suggestion would be to upgrade the bath and shower amenities. Breakfast was decent.

I loved the hotel's vintage ambiance. The service was attentive and warm, and the rooms were comfortable, clean, and hygienic. They thoughtfully provided local Pingyao snacks, and breakfast was also great. My family really enjoyed it. When we come to Pingyao, we usually choose to stay here, and the experience is always excellent!

The hotel was quite nice. Although it's an old-fashioned hotel with a Republican-era style, the facilities were still pretty good. During the Chinese New Year, the rooms were specially decorated, creating a nice atmosphere. Most importantly, the soundproofing was excellent; the sound of firecrackers outside didn't disturb my sleep too much.

The hotel boasts an excellent location, with its back entrance leading directly to the Encounter Pingyao theater. Upon arrival, we received a warm welcome, and the front desk upgraded our room, which was impeccably clean. The service and facilities were excellent. The staff even proactively sent over any clothes we had left behind. Highly recommended.

The hotel has a great location, with a shared underground parking lot with the Encounter Pingyao Theater, which is very convenient. It's just a few minutes' walk to the ancient city, and the surrounding area is very lively. The breakfast is quite substantial and meets expectations, but the executive lounge is a disappointment, practically non-existent.

We brought our parents to Pingyao and chose to stay at the Pingyao Hotel. The hotel lobby, guest rooms, and restaurant all exuded a Republican-era atmosphere. The service was attentive and proactive. It was also very close to the West Gate, just a few minutes' walk from where we could visit the ancient city of Pingyao. We booked a 4 PM showing of "Encounter Pingyao," which was conveniently located. The restaurant food was also quite good. Highly recommended!

Excellent Location, Attentive Service, and Superior Food Quality 1. Front Desk Service: An Experience Exceeding Expectations. Upon check-in, the front desk proactively upgraded our room (to a suite) and thoughtfully provided a complimentary breakfast. Staff responded quickly and handled our needs professionally (Xiao Li helped deliver our luggage to the room, assisted with emergency phone charging, and arranged a quick tour of the ancient city), treating us like family. 2. Food Quality: Authentic and Abundant. Breakfast Highlights: Offered local specialties such as Pingyao beef and bowl-shaped rice cakes, accompanied by fresh fruit, delicate pastries, and fresh salads. Lunch and Dinner: The Chinese restaurant served excellent food, featuring local specialties as well as Cantonese cuisine. 3. Attentive Care: A shuttle bus service is available (can be booked at the front desk) to reduce walking burden for seniors; rooms are fully equipped (air purifier, quiet environment) to ensure a comfortable rest.

The room was fantastic. I have high standards for rooms; most four-star hotels are just average, but this one deserves a five-star rating. It was clean, odorless, and well-soundproofed. The hotel's Chinese restaurant was better than the top-ranked trendy restaurant in the old town—I compared them. The room was also better than those in the old town.
