The location are great, near the North gate. This is the first hotel which the lady boss give you a souvenir when checkout the hotel.

Excellent location in the old city. Staff are super friendly and attentive. Provide a free shuttle service between hotel and city gate since cars are not allowed in the city walls. The only downside was the water pressure in the shower was a bit low.

Beautiful courtyard within the ancient city and we stayed in a 3 beds room with a large living room. Clean and well kept. The location is superb near the Qing Ming street and the city gate.
The hotel offers a mandarin speaking guide (with a fee)who took us around the 5 tourist spots within the ancient city. The staffs are friendly.

The staff didn’t speak English, we didn’t speak Chinese and yet, we had no issues communicating. They were always willing to answer our questions and give us recommendations on what to do or eat.
The hotel also has a washing machine to use free of charge.
The room itself is big enough, particularly the bathroom was bigger than the one we had in the 4 star hotel in Beijing in which we paid triple the price for.
We visited during low season so it was very quiet.
Given the price we paid per night using a special promotion, it’s hard for me not to rate 10/10 due to the value for money received.

A nice courtyard hotel run by friendly young people who made our 3 nights stay very pleasant. There is even a washing machine for free use. Easy access to the main happening road, only downside is the lack of space for putting our big baggage which had to be placed on the floor which means we had to squat to open up our bags.
Special commendations to Lei Lei, who acted as our tour guide taking us to the must see attractions of Pingyao ancient town. She gave good explanations and recommendations,
and even helped us on transportation to the next city of our journey.

1. Location. It is right next to Yingxun Gate, a 2-minute walk, and it is very convenient to watch the light show at night. It is 2 minutes away from South Street and 5 minutes away from the Temple of Confucius.
2. Take a car. We got off at Pingyao Ancient City Station and took a taxi for 20 yuan (online taxi), which is about 23-25 yuan. Get off at Shangdongmen, then call the boss, the boss will arrange an electric car to pick you up directly at the hotel entrance. When you leave, the boss will also arrange an electric car to send you to Shangdongmen, which is very considerate.
3. Accommodation environment. We went there during the week in April. There were not many people in the whole ancient city. When we checked in, the boss upgraded our room type. The room is relatively large and clean. You can take pictures in the yard at will. It is very photogenic. I posted a photo taken at night. You can take a look.
4. There is a store on the first floor of the hotel that specializes in makeup, styling, renting clothes, and taking pictures. There are discounts for guests staying in. We took photos here, which are very good.
5. I think the folk customs in the entire ancient city are still very simple, and everyone’s service attitude is very good. I personally feel that I have not made any mistakes.
