Pingyao Wudedi Cultural Hall (also see Pingyao County Yadian)

Wu De Di Cultural Theme Hotel, located at Shuyuan Street inside the Pingyao Ancient Wall, is a grand compound since Xianfeng and Guangxu period in Qing Dynasty. Endowed with a history of 200 years, this traditional cultural courtyard then was the private residence of Lei Xiehe who was the manager of Xie Tong Qing Banking branch in late Qing Dynasty. The courtyard consists of 4 front yards, a backyard and a side yard, separated by doors and halls. There are 3 middle halls and 5 Chinese cave houses in between the second and the third yard, hanging the plaque of Wu De Di before it. 5 southward buildings siting at the cave house with a circle yard surrounding, and a kitchen yard in east, this traditional compound demonstrating feudal ethical code vividly, as a Chinese old saying goes the dignity of the noble family is supreme.

To protect this precious historical site and shine its greatness, the owner decided to restore this compound in 2015 with a certain faith "restore it to its original form". After the huge restoration, this compound reappears its fantastic beauty as a cultural theme hotel which has 22 guest rooms, a multimedia hall and a dinner hall, which provide services including chatting, teatime, conference and seminar.
