Homeinn Selected Hotel (Pingyao Ancient City South Gate Visitor Center)

There is parking space, the room is clean and tidy, no noise, high quality, the hotel facilities are complete and new, it is worth staying, it is about a 15-minute walk from Pingyao Ancient City, and there are many hotels nearby with reasonable prices.

Honestly, I was very satisfied with my choice of Home Inn Hotel in Pingyao. First, it's economical, comfortable, and clean. The hotel is well-managed, includes breakfast, and offers a shuttle service, which was a huge relief. Second, personal safety is paramount, and Home Inn ensures it's well-maintained. You need to swipe your room card to access the elevator floor. Third, the front desk staff, whether on the morning or evening shifts, are highly qualified and courteous. They respond quickly to any requests, and are flexible and considerate. 🥰 Fourth, the hotel is right next to the Guanyun Beef Supermarket, which handles express delivery. It's very convenient for buying local specialties, and they're definitely more authentic and affordable than those sold in the Old Town area. They can also help book tickets for the "See Pingyao Again" performance and call the Old Town sightseeing bus (10/person) at the entrance. I also recommend the travel photography shop at the Old Town South Gate (Figure 8). Environment: Quite nice. It's not inside the Old Town, but not far from the Old Town South Gate.

The hotel provides free pick-up service, which will take you back to the hotel from Pingyao Ancient City Station. Turn left and walk a few hundred meters to reach the Pingyao Ancient City Visitor Center. Another 200 meters away is the Xiaonan Gate of the ancient city, which is also the gate with the most attractions. The room is clean and elegant, the bathroom is separated into wet and dry areas, and is fully equipped. The front desk service attitude is good and problems are handled promptly. After dinner in the evening, you can go to Yingxun Gate to watch the free ancient city light show (starting at 9pm). Yingxun Gate is right next to Xiaonanmen. Home Inn is a national chain and is trustworthy!

The service is very thoughtful. It's the first time that Home Inn has valet service after living there for so long. They will take you to your room and the front desk will call you to ask if you are satisfied with the room. If not, they will change it for you immediately. It's not far from the ancient city, about 1 kilometer, just walk along the same road. The room I booked also has a search service. I am very satisfied with the stay.
