Reviews of Hotels in Pissouri

5/567 Reviews
Just returned from a 3 night family stay, this was our first time in this resort, have wanted to visit for a few years now. The resort is beautiful and the setting is wonderful, the vista over Pissouri Bay is just stunning. The hotel that was next to the resort…the Columbia Beach Hotel has been amalgamated in to the main resort so effectively 2 hotels merged in to one, 2 entrances 2 pools etc. There are resort buggies which can ferry you between the 2 entrances so I was somewhat disappointed to be allocated a room in the “hotel” as opposed to the “resort” however the room or should I say suite was wonderful, it was huge and more than enough for a family of 4. Huge bathroom with separate bath and walk in shower. The rooms are extremely suitable for young families and the area is very quiet at nighttime. The pool area for that section of the “resort” is obviously the original hotel pool which is the family friendly one meaning you are allowed inflatables etc. Quite frankly it needs renovation, it has tiles missing, paint peeling off, it seems they have added some composite decking around the sides which is uneven and broken in places. It’s also extremely deep, it has 2 shallow ends which are both small and would get overcrowded in peak season. There is a separate baby pool at one end. There is also a lack of sun beds. Breakfast is also served around this pool in the outside restaurant, unfortunately this means that the buffet attracts wasps and there is no way to keep them off the food. We learned that the Bacchus restaurant in the main resort also served breakfast which was both inside and out so we ate there the remaining days. It was somewhat chaotic and tables were left uncleared, there may have been a lack of staff. Apart from the breakfast and a club sandwich around the pool one lunchtime we didn’t eat in any of the restaurants during the evening but other guests assured me the quality was good if a bit pricey. The Spa is in need of renovation, it looks tired. The layout is ridiculous….the treatment rooms are centred around the sauna/steam/plunge pool area and have windows facing on to the main pool area which means it can be noisy - not really what you want when trying to relax. The facial itself was of good quality. My kids absolutely loved the kids club which is conveniently located by the family friendly pool so very convenient. They stayed in there for a good couple of hours at a time. All in all, fantastic sized rooms, quiet, beautiful setting, great kids club but I just came away feeling a bit bleurgh and not sure if I’d return any time soon. We stayed in room 1207 which gives a partial sea view.
