One thing I did not like was how rapidly the elevator doors closed. And the sensors that let them know there was a person there. In the morning, I was hit by the elevator doors closing on me mid-boarding and spilled piping hot coffee all over my hand, creating a burn. There were no lids for the coffee available, and I would have been fine walking slowly to my room if the elevator doors did not close so rapidly. I’m sure there is footage of the incident, which is embarrassing, but it happened the morning of Jan. 6th around 9:15-9:20am. Other than the homicidal elevator, the stay was lovely and the hotel is in a great location!

Great stay. Very Clean, modern hotel with good amenities. Walkable to Pens game, downtown, and all of the stadiums. Free parking is a bonus as it’s cost at other hotels in the area. Best part was the staff. Very proactive, courteous, helpful and very friendly. Would stay here again

The room was clean and large. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hot tub was nice. It's not in the *prettiest* part of the city, but we liked being able to walk to the ***** district. My only (minor) complaint is that the shampoo and conditioner amenities (large bottles, locked to the wall) were empty.

Good location, price is reasonable.
But, during my five-night stay, I experienced a lack of room cleaning services. Even after I requested room cleaning on two times, regrettably, no full cleaning services were provided during my entire stay.

We had the King suite. Plenty of room. I liked how every piece of furniture fit where it was placed. We were on the second floor in a corner room. 3 big windows with rolling shades. The breakfast was plentiful. Very clean as well. The icing on the cake was that we were welcomed with my name on the TV. I will be using Hampton Inn hotels from now on. Thank you so much.

Overall great hotel in the heart of downtown, room was clean and modern, beds were comfortable and clean. The pool room was a bit dated looking but the pool is heated and the hot tub was amazing. Breakfast was plentiful with lots of options. Only two downsides in my opinion. 1. Staying at this hotel during a special event such as holidays, game events etc. May result in you not being able to find a parking spot in their lot and you may be left with no option but to park in the driveway or areas that are labelled no parking. 2. There was homeless people that sleep in the lobby occasionally at night and come into the breakfast area in the morning for the free food. One guy was 'tweaking' next to my partner and I at another table. Other than those 2 minor things it is great overall and would recommend.

The pool water is cloudy and I got sick after using the pool. Given the high review ratings, I had higher expectations of the comfort level of this hotel but got disappointed. The facilities and room are old. There were big pieces of dead skin on the carpet near the bed. Bath towels were not provided. We had to ask for them. Breakfast was ok. But the price is good given its location close to DT.

The sheets had not been changed in our room. Both the bedsheets and pillow cases had hair on them when we checked in. In addition, the staff did NOT clean the room during ANY of the 4 days that we were there. In addition, they never provided us with bath towels. We had to ask for soap and towels. They only took trash when we put our trash cans in the hallway however they did not put trash liners in both of the cans. Very sad how poorly managed this hotel is.
