The location of awesome. But room itself is outdated. Wall sealing are starting to come off. Amenities are fully functional though. We asked for extra body lotion but took them more than 30minutes to respond. We ended up bumping into house keeping in the corridors and asked for them there.

Very average hotel. It was once one of the most luxurious hotels in Pittsburgh, but it's been in serious decline. There was almost no service, the phone in the room didn't work (you had to go downstairs to get room service), and the cleanliness was average (there were even stains on the sheets).
The shops and restaurants inside the hotel are almost closed. It snowed heavily when we checked in, and we couldn't go out during the day. As a result, there was no food in such a big hotel (only one bar was still open)!
Finally, due to the overall design of this hotel, almost all the windows in the basic room types are inward facing (the window is opposite a wall), which makes it a bit claustrophobic.

Pittsburgh's historic hotel was built in 1961. The room looks like an old star hotel. I like the lighting. It's very comfortable to lie down and rest at night. The location of the hotel is also good! The front desk service is a bit poor, but everything else is good! The people at the VALET parking service are very nice, but the hotel doesn’t have slippers or toothbrushes or toothpaste.

Hotel is beautiful but room looked half thrown together, the bed skirts were not arranged so you could see the frame under. No children's menu for food

Carpeting on 7th floor was old and worn. Bathroom was tiny. Decor was dated and shabby. Wishing the rooms were as nice as the lobby.
Bed was comfortable. Water pressure was good, but tasted of mold.

Hotel was great, the room didn't really match what was depicted in the images. Had a slight issue where someone else's suitcase and garmet bags were in the room when I got to the room. But the staff was great when I called down, they sent up someone to pick up the luggage and get it to the correct room as soon as possible.

Very unique experience and conveniently located to a lot of downtown destinations. Had some issues with our AC for our specific room. Also stayed during New Year’s Eve and was a bit disappointed the speakeasy was not open for the holiday.

The hotel is beautiful and the Speakeasy downstairs makes phenomenal cocktails.
Our sole issue was that the room was way too hot for our preference. We changed the settings on the thermostat multiple times throughout the night but it reset to the default heat blaster mode about every hour.
We ultimately didn’t end up getting a restful night of sleep due to the temp in the room (which felt like it was resting at about 75 degrees.
