One night stay due to procedure for husband to avoid traffic delays. Was greeted by Tiba who was the friendliest staff I have met in quite some time. Most are just doing their job with not much conversation. We enjoyed our short stay, hotel room was clean and the general hotel was clean as well. Not sure where some of the negative reviews comes from as we did not encounter any of that.

If I would give a nonexistent rating and just leave a review I would. We were appalled at the state of the hotel upon arrival. I understand a hotel being renovated but there was exposed carpet padding everywhere, sawdust, and the room numbers were written on masking tape. Upon entering our room we decided to inspect everything thoroughly, and found random black debris on the bed and other surfaces, as well as smears of random substances. The cabinet above the microwave was broken and upon looking above it using a phone camera, we saw what appeared to be a ziplock bag of illegal substances. We changed clothes and immediately left. DO NOT STAY HERE. We went and told the front desk what we encountered and requested a refund, the staff member did not look surprised at all and the only comment he made throughout the process of giving us our refund was mumbling and then saying ”20 minutes” because that was how long it took us to become completely appalled and change clothes to leave.

The checkin was great with “Monice”, however we had to request bedding for the pullout sofa after getting to the room late at night…I assumed there’d be bedding in the closet, but no dice. The reservation was booked under my spouse’s name “D. Miller”, but I was added as a guest checking in first. The next morning, I booked a points only reservation for 5 days, however before leaving the room to be checked into the points only reservation, I felt bugs crawling on my ankles as I sat working at the dinette table! The critter took a bite, and I jumped up to see if it was a bed bug, however it didn’t appear to be one. After inspecting the room and bed, they were everywhere! We called the front desk, and spoke to “Pharon” who’s response couldn’t have been less empathetic to my concerns. We packed up everything, and checked out! While checking out, “Pharon” explained that she’d “opened a case” with Marriott, through she never explained what that was or why she was “opening a case” on our behalf. She confirmed that she was canceling the 2nd reservation I booked with points, however several days later the room was still checked in, and to date my points haven’t been returned to my Titanium account. I went back to the hotel a couple days later to inquire why, and also to ensure that I wasn’t charged for the first night due to the bug infestation. “Truveda “ was polite, however she stated, “We can’t make any adjustments, management has to do that.” Ok, so I asked for a call, left, and never heard from management at the time of this review. I called a few days ago, and the room was still checked into their system as occupied by us ever though we left the hotel on March 18th! I asked again for management to call, and no response. I called back the next day, spoke with “Lina Yeh”, the AGM who assured me that the situation would be taken care of. She explained that the hotel was giving me 5000 points for my “inconvenience”…I explained that was woefully inadequate and asked for a refund of the first night which I thought was polite than most other guests would’ve been given the circumstances. She indicated that wasn’t possible, but upon doing further research, she discovered that my reservation was still screwed up because she thought I was asking for a refund of 5 nights for which I didn’t even stay at the hotel! She promised a follow-up call to address my request for a refund of the night we “slept with bugs”, because she had to “check with management”, but I thought she WAS management…then it became clear to me…this was a franchised property! They’re notorious for bleeding hotels dry and screwing Marriott’s most loyal guests in the process. Anyway…I’ll be following up with Marriott Customer Care to get assistance in getting this resolved.

I am currently staying at this property and have been here nearly 3 weeks after relocating from Ohio. I selected this property because of the location. It is in a new area (very safe) just NE of 75 and 190. Transportation pros: It's ON 190 (Bush). I can exit the hotel and jump on 190 without waiting at a light, then I can go any direction very quickly. If I want to head east, there is a u-turn bypass to head east on 190. Again, no light. It's just ridiculously convenient to everything. If I wanted to, the Cityline stop on DART is just a minute away and it is a safe station. You can get all the way to DFW on the DART rail, FYI. Meals, food, and extras pros: Almost directly across the highway is Cityline. Whole Foods and tons of restaurant options. There is a massive city park right there with trails, as well. A couple of blocks behind is the super cute downtown Plano area with other excellent dining options. Obviously there are tons of retailers all over the area, so really you can stay quite close for anything you need. Accommodation pros: Clean and very functional room. I am on the end of the building, close to my car. I have the option to park outside or in the garage, which is nice in the unpredictable Texas winter. Great amenities, gym/pool. The gym is always available when I have wanted to use it. I have used the laundry throughout my stay, which is very convenient. I've grabbed free breakfast quite a few times. Good breakfast choices considering the pandemic, really. I make jewelry and have to ship stuff frequently, so access to a printer for shipping labels has been a blessing, as well. I wasn't sure how I would manage that during my stay. I prefer to clean my room myself and they have accommodated that request without any issues. The staff is very nice and seem to enjoy their jobs. Lastly, the property feels safe. I don't see random people hanging around anywhere and I have not noticed noise from other guests. I would highly recommend staying here for all these reasons, but I cannot express enough how nice it is to be able to get on the road so easily. Side roads can be congested in the Richardson/Plano area and the location of this hotel saves me about 15 minutes every morning as I head out.
