Staff, not what I'd expect from such a beautiful place... Chatting as I stand at reception.. A LONG 5 minutes.. Only to be then stared at, expecting me to initiate conversation.. Fundamentally...you tell me?

Seen this hotel in passing many times etc, always looked lovely. Booked 2 1bed apartments for 4-11 october, arrived around 2215 noticed pool completely drained and having work done in pool, this was not communicated at any point. The apartments were spacious and good for the money however apartments stank heavily of cigarette smoke, one of the fridges had ham left in fridge, the patio door in one bedroom wouldnt open, the main door handle very loose on inside, elevator stopped working after day 1 had to use stairs for remainder of stay. Reported to On The Beach and the hotel offered a refund of €10 per night the pool was out of use, this was an insult. We changed hotels via On The Beach who couldn't have been any more helpful. The works on the swimming pool should have been communicated in advance of us staying as i would have moved hotels before arriving as i always book for a nice pool to relax by due to disability etc. it was a shame as it had potential to be a great stay but more attention needs paying to freshening up the rooms making sure they dont smell and attention to maintenance and overall better communication with guests.
