Service Quality: Staff are generally praised for being helpful and attentive, especially the entertainment team, who provide engaging activities for all ages without being intrusive. Housekeeping is diligent, with daily cleaning and towel service.

I am writing this review in the hope that it reaches people who are questioning this hotel due to the renovations and the bad reviews. In the month leading up to our stay I was constantly checking for new reviews to get a real picture for what the hotel is actually like, so hopefully this helps anybody else in that same position. First of all, the accommodation was absolutely brilliant and we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived at our bungalow. We loved the minimalistic, modern design and it was so spacious which made such a difference to our holiday. The TV's in the bedroom and the living area were absolutely huge, and we had air con in both rooms which worked amazingly. There was also some lovely little touches such as toothbrushes and a razor displayed in the bathroom (which was actually useful considering we had both left our toothbrushes at home!!!) The private outside space was lovely to have and having a bungalow instead of a hotel room made such a difference to our holiday - we absolutely loved it. The check in at the hotel over the road was no issue for us whatsoever, it is quite literally right across the road and they also gave us a welcome drink which was a nice touch. We stayed in the superior bungalow (renovated), and I must admit I don't think I would have been too happy in the older style bungalows, but we are a young couple that enjoyed the modern look so it depends how fussy you are. However, I think if all the bungalows were renovated to the same standard the hotel would be even more amazing. The pool areas are brilliant and we had such a relaxing time sunbathing there. The pool is big enough to do a few lengths even if there are other people in there. There was consistently free sunbeds dotted around and there was no issues at all in finding a sunbed - plenty free throughout the day. The entertainment was good and not too intrusive in case this isn't something you wanted to engage in. I played one of the games but in general we were not too fussed about the entertainment so were both glad this wasn't too overpowering. We also enjoyed the music by the pool, but can understand people may be irritated by this. Now on to the all inclusive, I have read so many bad reviews about the food and neither of us agreed with this. I personally never have too high expectations of all inclusive food and think some people expect gourmet meals when they book an all inclusive. I would say the food was actually a really decent standard for a fairly budget priced hotel. I am celiac and therefore am limited to what I can eat, and I managed to find something new to eat virtually every day. The staff also provided me with GF pizza, GF muffins and GF cookies which was amazing :) Also, I have read comments about the meat. I am extremely fussy with meat and rarely eat it, however I ate different types of meat every day on this holiday! Just come back from a 10 night stay here. The bungalows are clean and well presented. Maids are lovely. Lots of little ants in the bungalows though all around the bathroom sink and the kitchen area, had to put everything in the fridge so ants didn’t get in them but that didn’t bother me too much. What did bother me was the hotel staff (not the entertainment staff). We were half board and didn’t get any information about what was included within the half board at this hotel, we just got given the times the buffet is open. 3 days into our holiday, we sat down to eat our evening meal, my boyfriend went to get himself some water and me a cup of Pepsi max, when walking back to our table one of the staff members came over and snatched the drinks out of his hand and said you have to pay for those. He came back empty handed and the lady followed behind, only then did we get told that we have to pay for drinks at evening meal times, but not at breakfast? Which didn’t make much sense. We re ordered the same drinks that she snatched out of my boyfriend’s hand when she could have just asked for our room number to put it on our bill instead of being rude. This information should be given to you when you’re checking in. Not 3 days into the holiday. We wasn’t the only people they did this to. There were lots of people confused about the drink situation at meal times and the staff handled it so unprofessionally, with attitude. You could cut the tension with a knife. The next morning we brought our own drinks around the pool and asked for a cup of ice each. We continued to bring our own drinks to meal times etc… This lasted approximately 48 hours before they started charging us for ice! The man behind the bar was called Miguel, he was rude and argued with my boyfriend on multiple occasions. Along with who I think is his manager Sasha. We was walking to the seating area to watch the entertainment and stopped at the bar to get some ice for our drink. Sasha came behind the bar and whispered something to Miguel they were both sniggering and laughing. We was stood there for a good 5 minutes before we got served they was completely ignoring us, when we asked for ice that comes out of a machine by the way, he said his manager has informed him that we need to pay. My boyfriend and him had a bit of a back and forth and Miguel’s attitude was awful he was so rude. The nigbt before we was on our way back to the room, nobody at the bar we give up waiting and he poured half a pint for himself off the all inclusive bit while I’m looking in my bag to get our money out. Miguel comes out of nowhere sprinting at us shouting “you need to pay” and tried charging him for a full pint €3.50 and not half. We give him €2 which is more than half and as you can imagine he wasn’t happy. Every time we went to the restaurant area, the staff just gave us daggers across the room. Made it a very hostile environment for no reason what so ever. Overall the bungalows are lovely and enjoyed
