This is a dated hotel that has not been maintained. Swimming pool was refreshing but the stained and dirty tiles and rusted fence rails, and loose ladder in the pool were hard to ignore. The illuminated hotel signs, which normally would light up the parking lot, were not working and it was hard to tell at night that the hotel was even open, and dark trying to get our luggage to our room through the end entrance. Our room had wet dark spots on the carpeting...not sure if they were trying to remove stains or what. The desk lady was friendly. The room itself was comfortable enough if you are just looking to sleep but for the price and hotel rating (there is a big sign in the lobby that says 8.2 Rating), I was expecting more.

For both work and play, I have stayed at a number of Red Lion Motels all over the country and they never disappoint. And the Red Lion Hotel in Pocatello, ID. is no exception. You walk in to their beautiful lobby to the front desk where their friendly staff greet you and get you checked in right away. Next to their front desk is their snack stand filled with chips, candies and drinks. On the way to my room I passed their lounge which is ideal for a late night drink and even a game of pool. I also passed their enormous indoor pool and hot tub. Yes, please. As always at any Red Lion Hotel I have ever stayed, the room was spacious and immaculately clean. The hotel also offers laundry service, a business center and a fitness room. Suffice to say that the next time I'm back in Pocatello, ID. I'll be staying at the Red Lion Hotel. No doubt.

we had a granddaughter graduate from college. So needed 5 rooms. 2 were with dogs. They were very accommodating. We had a family dinner at the table in the lobby, food ordered from the lounge, was really good food. My Daughter rented the breakfast room for the graduation party. It was perfect, they let her in there at 11:30 AM and had it til 10:00 PM. One of the best hotels I've stayed at!

The hotel has reached the consistent quality of the Hampton Inn, exquisite, modern and in place. It is one of the most cost-effective chains in the United States. There was a small episode in the check-in. Ctrip's picture and room description did not match the actual situation. The room was a lot smaller. There was no space for our two 28-inch boxes to unfold. Communicate with customer service, quickly acknowledged the mistake and provided 160 cash as compensation. Overall, Ctrip's fast and efficient satisfaction. I hope that in the future, like Booking, I will carefully check the pictures and descriptions, and I will be on the upper floor.

The staff was extremely helpful, going out of their way to assist in making the reservation. On arrival, we were greeted warmly. The lobby and breakfast area were clean and had a fresh smell. Our standard room exceeded expectations. It was clean and large enough to have a sitting area. There was a balcony with a view overlooking the entire Pocatello area. We’ll definitely stay here on our next trip to Pocatello. Very happy travelers!
