We found out that as of TODAY the hotel pools will be closed until February 2025. There was no notice of this when we booked or checked in. We found out this more when we went down for breakfast & saw the signs. Today was our last day but we were planning on using the amenities since there was a resort fee. Turned out the weather due to storm Denise wouldn’t allow us the use the beach. This hotel did not meet expectations and was overpriced for the quality, location & amenities.

Amazing accommodations and Quality Service.  They have two very large pools - one of them heated and a hot tub. Great location being right at the beach. Will be staying here again I'm near future.

Would book here again just for the view alone. We experienced the most beautiful sunrise and the room was perfectly kept and clean

Been here every February for a week over the last four years.   Always had been a nice quiet place to enjoy a break with family, peaceful and restful.  I will say the food and food service has really improved.  However, the beach service has really changed.  I am an early riser and head for morning beach and to set up for the day.  New rule is that umbrellas are no longer included and are rented for $25 a day. Ok, I have skin cancer so I will pay.  So when chairs we set up I tipped $30 for the beach attendant to help me chairs and asked for him to remember me when it was time for umbrellas.  But I couldn’t get an umbrella and ended up having to chase him around the beach while he was in his ATV to plead to lay for one, ok.- said nothing but thank you.  Then they brought out jet skis and placed them right in front of my chairs and the beach view.  So I asked to move (I mean I didn’t fly to FL for a week for a view and gas’s smell coming off those jet skis). and got a lot of attitude.  So $30 of tips and $25 umbrella.  This is my view….(see pic).  So later decide to go to pool cause disappointed with beach view ….and there are plates of food lying all over the pool deck, tables,   chairs.   Not to mention flies etc.  we were there for three hours and no one cleared anything.

Our stay at the end of last month started out not so great, with a musty smelling room --and only one elevator (which, unfortunately, was the case for the entire week, causing long wait times). That said, the front desk staff was very nice and moved us to a non-smelling room. While we didn't get a platinum upgrade, breakfast (and breakfast staff) was great. Dinner could use some work and consistency. The outdoor facilities were very nice and well-kept. With regard to the issues we had, Tom, the GM, was SUPER responsive and went above and beyond to address the issues and make sure we were happy.  I was pleasantly surprised with the fact that he took the time to address these items himself! Would recommend.

The Marriott Fort Lauderdale Pompano Beach Resort & Spa was a great surprise! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The resort is big, though not overwhelming. The pool is small, but as the resort is beachfront, there are plenty of seating opportunities both poolside and beachside. There is service on the beach, so you can order food and drinks to your beach chairs! Hotel room was fine, nothing overwhelming and certainly not brand new, but well maintained. There is a coffee bar in the restaurant that serves great drinks in the morning and throughout the day. Valet service is very convenient and well-run. Gym is small but sufficient with an amazing view!
