Zafiro Palace Alcudia Reviews

We stayed in July with two children(7/4). Rooms are very nice, new and clean. The whole hotel is nicely divided with several pools and restaurants. Food in the restaurants as well as buffet in the morning and evening was really good. As it is not on the Beach, I guess the annoying guests you expect on mallorca are bit less the on the other hotels. You can Walk in 10 min into the city centre.

Throughly enjoyed our stay at the Zafiro Palace for a week. Food choice was excellent in the buffet restaurant and of good quality.We also ate in Portico and Veranda venues which again were very good as was the service. The Hotel was spotless throughout and our room was very comfortable. All staff were friendly and focussed on ensuring a positive guest experience. We would certainly return in the future.

We stayed for 7 nights on an all-inclusive basis and had a One Bedroom Penthouse Suite (on 2 levels with bedroom, living area, bathroom and balcony on lower level and private sunbathing deck on upper floor with sheltered relaxing area and a jacuzzi). I have to be honest to initially having concerns that I’d booked the wrong hotel, this is very much a family fun hotel complex, very different to the adult only hotels we tend to book, but any fears were very quickly dispelled. Yes, lots of families everywhere, but there are adult only pool and terraces and our private facilities meant we had the choice between the busier or quieter options. Services and standard of room was fantastic, very spacious and effective air con plus all the extras including tea making, mini bar, microwave, ironing board and brolly (not needed). Only one slight warning would be the steep and narrow staircase from room to terrace, but you soon get used to it. The main restaurant (The Market) is a buffet style offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The choice and quality is really good, lots of options, outstanding quality for buffet style and backed up by helpful friendly staff. The really brilliant thing was the all inclusive also allowed us to use each of the other four (yes four) themed restaurants - you book using the simple app that’s easy to download and use. We tried them all, Italian (El Portico), Mediterranean ((El Olivo), Tastes & Sushi (Japanese) and the pool side grill (La Veranda). Absolutely stunning quality and range of food and wines (great selection of bottled wine included with all-inclusive deal), and waiting staff were really helpful and friendly. If you’re not all-inclusive or want to use more than once the price seemed fair and very reasonable based on quality and quantity of food offered. Didn’t make use of the gym or indoor pool but looked awesome. I mentioned this is a family focused hotel (at this time of year the majority being families very young babies, toddlers and primary age children) so there will be times where the pool party entertainment and evening shows can be heard and the queues for the buffet service are busy, but this was absolutely not an issue and most of the time not noticeable. Hotel is also very close to the town centre and main beach area (5 min walk), and loads of good shops, restaurants and pubs if you feel the need to get out. Cheap taxi (€6-€8 each way) to the “old town” which is well worth a visit for market day, Roman ruins and lovely old streets - will probably need an hour or two to walk around but plenty of nice little bars and coffee shops if needed). We did have to wait for around 20 mins for taxi to arrive at the rank but you may be able to book a fixed time return).

Welcoming reception staff very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. Lovely ambience high standards of cleanliness excellent location close to beautiful beaches/port, bars and restaurants. Excellent amenities and well kept beautiful gardens and grounds. Our room and balcony was very clean and spacious. The bed and pillows were very comfortable. There was only one lounger on our balcony it would have been nice to have two as there were two of us. There was some limescale in the bathrooms which the hotel can easily rectify. A proper solid kettle would have been nice to make hot drinks as the one in the room was not safe to use, there was a coffee maker but we don’t drink coffee. The restaurants were all amazing with a wide selection. Though the hotel seems more catered for young families my husband and I really enjoyed our stay. We just had a few minor niggles which can be easy addressed. Perhaps the children’s entertainment could start earlier in the evening. Overall we are happy to rate this hotel five stars and look forward to returning next year.

Just returned from our first family holiday, I would highly recommend here for families we could not fault it lots of activities and 3 pools to choose from. The hotel is only a 10 minute walk from the beach and to the local restaurant’s. All staff on reception, at the bar, poolside, restaurants and the house keeping were all fantastic and great with our children!! Really wish I took a few names down as they need a special mention main one being our housekeeper she was so lovely!! My son turned 5 whilst we stayed everyone made a fuss of him, cake, sang happy birthday and even got a birthday “cocktail” overall experience was fantastic! We hope to return in the future

Just back from a five night stay here, we really enjoyed our break at this lovely hotel our room was spotless clean, bright and spacious , on arriving late the hotel left out for us a selection of fresh sandwiches fruit and wine. The food was excellent fresh hot and great variety, the hotel was busy but never felt overly crowded. Staff could not do enough to help very friendly. Our children really enjoyed the splash pool. My only small criticism is I don’t fell there is enough sunbeds, lots of people reserve them.

We stayed at this hotel with our family. 6yr old and 3 yr old. We wouldn't say this is a 5star hotel it is a 4 , 4+ at best. We arrived late on a Friday evening to find that they hadn't even made the bed up in our room for the children to sleep. The towels in the room are poor quality and numerous times we had towels with holes and dirt on them. Same as the linen for the beds, it had holes in it. The bathroom smelt of urine and the sink smelt of sewage. They did move us after we complained of the smell. The entertainment in the evening is poor so it is lucky that there is the town near by to walk too. When booking excursions do your research and go down to the port before hand to choose. We were recommended by the hotel to do the cave snorkeling one but you actually spend an hr of the trip in total collecting and dropping of other passengers then it is a 25minute journey each way to get over to the cave area. We went inside one cave for a few minutes and wasn't even able to snorkle inside as it is sold and you got about 30mins in a small bay to snorkle. Don't waste your money. The restaurants are OK. There is not much choice for children though literally chicken nuggets, pasta, pizza or burgers. No vegetables. It is well located but for the price you pay you would expect more. We had to lift our own luggage in from our transfer to the hotel and there was no drink on arrival.

Amazing hotel that we cant wait to go back to! This was our 3rd stay at the Zafiro palace Alcudia and it just keeps getting better and better. We stayed half board in a 1 bedroom suite with our nearly 2 year old son. Room was immaculate, food was amazing, pools are ideal for adults and children and the entertainment was brilliant. Tried the grill, Japanese and Italian al a carte restaurants for the first time and were all very very good. Always plenty choices at the buffet in the evening and breakfast. Only 5 minute walk to the beach and port which has more restaurants, bars and shops. Couldn’t recommend this hotel enough for families and can’t wait to go back!

What a brilliant hotel! We loved it from start to finish! Great choice of restaurants, pools and a fantastic location close to the beach. You can easily explore the old town too which has a brilliant local market on particular days. We had slightly hard pillows so they changed them on request. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Nothing too much trouble, we all loved our stay! Thank you!

We we were very impressed with the Zafiro Palace. Excellent food, fresh and lots of choice. Very comfortable room. All the staff were very friendly and hardworking. The swimming pools were fantastic and never a problem in finding a sun bed. My only little quibble - and it’s a small one - was the evening entertainment, it was a bit flat. A disco with a bit of dancing to round the evening off would be nice, our adult autistic son (who loves a disco!) was a bit disappointed. Perhaps we’re a bit old fashioned but the online quizzes didn’t appeal to us at all. That said we’ve booked for next year and are looking forward to returning very much

We had a fantastic stay here, as a family reunion for my husband's seventh birthday. The staff made everything special .. The hotel was very clean, house keeping were exceptional, fantastic amount of lovely kept pools. Even down to giving each room an umbrella just in case, , and we had an electrical storm, so was needed , but all in all every eventually was covered by this wonderful hotel

Fantastic hotel, food amazing, good location, easy walk to shops and marina. Children catered for with pirate ship in splash pool and an inflatable ball to enjoy. Huge selection of food throughout the day and drinks on all inclusive. Wonderful clean room with excellent house keeping and room service if required. Quick check in with bubbles on arrival. 5* only The only issue that could be a problem for some was that we noticed the gluten free foods didn’t seem to be on a separate counter. Allergies were labelled but with everybody touching utensils etc the chances of mixed contamination is high. This could easily be avoided if gluten free foods were placed away on a separate counter.

Hotel was very clean, everything was great. The season was coming to an end so the activities for teenagers started to end earlier than the hotel closing which was a shame but otherwise faultless.

Fantastic hotel, perfect location for all the sightseeing in old town and the rest of alcudia 45 min bus ride to palma is a must! Food in the hotel was fantastic, service was good, a little slow and un attentive at times. Rooms were spotless - WiFi is spotty and the tv in the room was far from perfect as it hardly picked up any channels. Swimming pools are huge and clean. The hot tubs in the more expensive rooms are phenomenal, would highly recommend block 6 for your room as you get the best views. All round Fantastic trip.
