10/10 recommend for your stay in Port Douglas! Anne was so welcoming & helpful at check in. She provided a lot of local recommendations and tips. Everything is within walking distance. The pool is AMAZING and so peaceful with all the landscaping and lily ponds. The room was comfortable with everything we needed. We will definitely book here again the next time we’re in the area.

We had an amazing stay at Freestyle Resort! We booked a 2-bedroom hotel room. The room was a duplex with 2 separate bathrooms. The rooms were really beautiful, spacious and clean and we had a nice terrace, we had everything we needed! The swimming pool was great and there were laundry facilities. The hotel is very well located, on walking distance from the city center. Anne was extremely friendly and helpful, she gave us many recommendations and advice. I definitely recommend this place! Thank you Anne 😊

We can’t rave about the fantastic service we received enough! We booked 8 months in advance and a week before we arrived, Anne advised that the highway between cairn and port Douglas would be closed due to the Ironman event that day. This was the day she had noted we were arriving and true to her assumptions, we would have endured significant delays traveling to freestyle from cairns. Thanks to her heads up, we were able to rearrange our entire trip to make sure the road closure didn’t affect us. We are so grateful and thankful. Upon arrival, Anne was like a walking talking review site herself! Giving us hot tips on the best food/coffee/tourist attractions as well as travel times needed to get to them all. We subsequently enjoyed a beautiful dinner at her recommendation of restaurant. What the unit lacked in terms of being a little tired, was made up for by the wonderful service. We had everything we needed in order to thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Thank you Anne!

Apartment was immaculate with everything we needed. Walking distance to shops, beach and marina. Loved the pool and spent a lot of time in it. Anne, the duty manager, could not have been more helpful. Gave us all the information we needed, booked our trips and sorted out problem when one of the providers forgot to pick us up. Highly recommend this place.

Husband and I have just returned from Port Douglas it’s our 4th trip to Port Douglas and our first stay at Freestyle and what a lovely place it is. Location was ideal for the Main Street the room was clean and tidy and good value for money, Anne was so lovely and welcoming. Will definitely be back next. Thank you

Great Location, very clean and tidy rooms. Extremely friendly staff & the rate was very good. The place itself is a little run down and needs a bit of sprucing up. Our toilet was in the most ridiculous position, you had to be a contortionist to access the toilet roll. The pool although very refreshing and a welcome addition at the end of a long hot day exploring was full of leaves. A quick daily vacuum would not go astray.

The Freestyle Resort is clean and basic. Our room was clean, quite adequate, quiet and the bed was comfortable. Simple furniture, although the chairs could do with replacing. The Manager was very helpful and we enjoyed our stay in Port Douglas.

We recently stayed at Freestyle and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. Anne was really welcoming when we arrived and extremely helpful, pointing us in the right direction when we had a cancelled tour. The appartment was comfortable and well equipped and within a short walk to the Port Douglas restaurants and mariner. The pool was lovely and refreshing especially after a day's activities. We have no hesitation in recommending Freestyle to fellow travellers. James and Jane

We spent 8 nights at Freestyle very recently. We had a thoroughly positive experience. The service was excellent from the moment Anne warmly greeted us from our shuttle drop-off to her helpful shuttle pick-up. She was at the property and available throughout the day until closing time at 6pm. Jason was away from the property, so we did not get the chance to meet him. We were especially grateful to Anne's great information about all that the area has to offer. Our one bedroom apartment was very comfortable, well kept, and spotless. We enjoyed cooking and preparing meals there often. The kitchen was stocked with all the appliances, pots, pans, bowls, dishware, etc. that we needed. We loved it's proximity to the main street, marina, and 4-mile beach. We did not have a car and could easily walk to all these places within 10 minutes. And, we could get a local and affordable shuttle quickly if we chose not to walk. We can't say enough good things about our stay at Freestyle and would return there in a heartbeat! Anna & Leigh

Great location and Anne was so helpful arranging expeditions. We were impacted by cyclone but Anne managed to find a great tour to Kuranda and a Sailboat outing to the Great Barrier Reef when our regular travel agent couldn't. Anne was totally engaged in making our visit great, including arguing with the limo who showed up over an hour early with maybe 15 minutes notice. The town wasn't very busy but we had a great time and highly recommend Freestyle Resort

We had a wonderful six night stay at Freestyle! Due to a previous cyclone some of our initial plans were cancelled, but Anne was very helpful in finding other activities for us to do. It was nice to have a fully equipped kitchen, and the pool was refreshing. Thank you for hosting us ＜3

We stayed here for a week as part of a longer holiday in Australia. Sadly Port Douglas had been impacted by an earlier cyclone and flooding event which had impacted the tours we were expecting to go on during our stay. However, Anne, the owner, was incredibly helpful suggesting alternatives and ensuring we got the most out of our time in the area. The resort itself was in a good location for proximity to beach (5 mins walk), the main town and Marina (10-15 min walk). Whilst a little outdated, the accommodation was comfortable and had everything we needed. The apartment gets one clean for stays 6 nights or more. We did have a small issue with the toilet which took a few days to get resolved as there is no on-site maintenance. However this didn’t negatively impact our stay. Not much in the way of amenities at the resort. Swimming pool was small and not really designed for swimming nor cooling off for that matter (due to hot climate the pool was bath water temperature!). Pool only appeared to be cleaned once during our stay and had leaves and dead bugs for the first few days of our stay. This may have been as a result of local water restrictions in place at the time. Things like sun beds have seen better days and probably should be replaced. Overall, we had a convenient and comfortable stay.

Great apartments. Very clean and comfortable. Good facilities. Excellent location, close to both the beach and town centre. The host, Anne, was very knowledgeable, informative and extremely helpful in booking airport transfers. Would stay there again if I am in Port Douglas, which is a lovely town

Practical and comfortable accommodation, with everything you need for a very pleasant stay. Great welcome and support during our 5 night stay from Anne who went out of her way to ensure we had a lovely time. Conenient for the centre of Port Douglas and the Marina for your Great Barrier Reef Experience.
