Clonmara Country House and Cottages

I can only speak for the cottage we stayed in and all the others seem to be renovated. The cottage was less than average. The photos on web site we expected a renovated cottage. This was far less than reality. The floors are uneven, the iron was unusable, the ironing board again unusable, fry pans so old and not useable. There was a smell in the house, not sure where? There are worms on the rear door. If this is renovated? The photos were unbelievable. I can’t speak for the other cottages but the price we paid for 6 nights for disappointing Pity lovely

We stayed in the Stone cottage. The bed was comfortable and the cottage had what we needed, unfortunately it had not been cleaned properly. The place could do with a good dust, cobwebs visible, lots of food crumbs under couch cushions. I did send a message to the owners, who did address the food issue but still lots of dust around. It seems that some work has been undertaken but not finished properly. Whilst we understand the the cottage is old, it requires quite a bit of work such as a good paint, a good clean and the courtyard could do with some tlc to make it more attractive to sit in. We had been warned about traffic noise but were able to sleep through the night, probably wouldn’t suit a light sleeper. This has been advertised as 4 star. Sorry, but this is definitely not 4 star.

Superb stay in a gorgeous quaint cottage that has everything you need for a comfortable stay. We had cottage 3, which had a lovely outside deck to catch the afternoon sun and sunset. We loved the cosy seating area, comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen.

Lovely stay at Clonmara Country House. Charming decor and beautifully appointed. Self check-in process could be improved andwith clearer instructions.

Cottage 3 interior was very nice But right on the princes highway and very significant road noise even with windows closed Due to other cottages no privacy in cottage with curtains open. Recent tree issues , current view from patio and cottage included Need to drive into town

Lovely cottage with modern comfortable interior located in very quiet landscaped setting. Effective gas wood burner and very comfortable bed. Wish we could of stayed longer...

A beautiful little cottage with everything. Comfy, bed, clean, warm & the spa was amazing. Hosts were wonderful and so well organized. I loved that I could lay in bed and turn the tv to watch! It was so relaxing & just what we needed. We could walk to the beach or into town for a coffee. Loved it & will be back for sure.
