Reviews of Super 8 by Wyndham Portland ME

There's no elevator so you have to carry your luggage up to the the second floor. The room didn't have working lights (the bulbs were removed from one the lamps, probably to save on electricity costs?). The room/carpet itself was very run down but otherwise clean. There's no fridge/microwave. The bathroom was filthy with hair everywhere. The sink didn't drain and had disgusting gunk backflowing back up. I wasn't even able to complain, I went back to the front desk and waited for 10 minutes and no one came.

We did not even stay because of smelling bad! I don’t know what was causing it but in general it was a bad smelling!

Inexpensive quick check in quick check out good continental breakfast in Coastal most major restaurants, good shopping and repair facilities if needed

Not as nice as other places but it’s a go to if you need to don’t have amenities the breakfast is not much very dark and dreary

Great room, good value, and there are many shops around, great experience, I think this is a place worth coming back to visit again, so I think it's great

Don't believe the hotel photos. We booked 2 rooms for 2 nights but decided not to stay and move out because the room condition was very bad, very dirty, very smelly, smell of pets and hair on the carpet. The old air conditioner was loud, the exhaust fan in the bathroom was broken. We asked for help to fix it and they said it would have to be tomorrow morning. We decided not to stay and asked for a refund, but the hotel refused to refund us. Even though we asked for half of it back, they didn't refund us. We felt very bad from the time we checked in, it took a long time. We would not recommend anyone at all. We were disappointed because we thought that the standard of Wyndham would guarantee it. Now we don't believe the hotel name that says "by Wyndham" anymore.

Breakfast is available. You need to carry your own luggage and there is no elevator.
