Elegant, private king bedroom studio suite with magical private greenhouse, private entrance, desk and ensuite bathroom. Enjoy radiant tile floor heat, charming greenhouse seating nook, spacious 2-person shower and an amenities cabinet with microwave, mini-fridge, teakettle & flatware - ideal for simple breakfasts or reheated leftovers. This spacious room is ideal for 1 or 2 guests who want an entirely separate private space and charming "interior garden" porch, but who don't need a full kitchen. This studio suite is unique in that it is an entirely separate, hotel-room-like space designed for your privacy and independence. This airy master suite is four steps down off of our driveway, entering through a very unique private victorian greenhouse for your enjoyment. The studio suite encompasses a portion of the basement of our rebuilt victorian home, fully daylit to the west with additional windows facing north and east, so it feels like a split lower level and not like a basement. It is an entirely separated and private apartment, entirely private for guests. The unique victorian greenhouse features your seating area and table, great for reading, games or breakfast in warmer weather - or in the winter, it ranges between 40 and 60 degrees and can be enjoyed with a wrap like a covered porch. This suite is perfect for travelers who, not needing a full kitchen or house/apartment, prefer a private and well-appointed bedroom and bathroom to call their own during their stay, with a private entrance that allows for independent check-in and check-out and all of the amenities that you would expect in a higher-end hotel room, including snacks and refreshments, tea and instant coffee, coffee maker for your own grounds, a microwave, mini-fridge, hair dryer, iron and ironing board, fresh towels and bedding and thoughtful, luxurious furnishings, tile and finishes, dimmable lighting and higher-end bathroom fixtures. The room gets a lot of direct sunlight in the afternoon, and features high-speed wifi and a modern desk overlooking the "interior garden" of the greenhouse and the expanse of sky through all of that glass. The tiled shower features two shower heads with plenty of room for couples. From the beautiful greenhouse entrance, the attention to detail within the space, and the neighborhood walkability to so much good eating and hanging out, this was an ideal home base for our weekend in Portland. The host was really warm and welcoming and the space was clean and had everything we needed!

Should have stayed longer! Our travel plans left us needing a place to stay for one night that was nearby the airport, reasonably priced, and comfortable. This property was above and beyond our expectations. My husband and I were tired since our connecting flight from the east coast arrived late and we had a long day of traveling. I’m not exaggerating when I say that we got some of the best sleep we have had in months at this property. The greenhouse was so inviting and the room so comfortable! I wish we could have stayed longer than one night and enjoyed the greenhouse lounge area more. Will definitely stay again whenever we come back to Portland!

Greenhouse Garden Such a quaint space. Perfect for me and no TV to distract me from spending quality time with my youngest child who moved there early 2024.The neighborhood is very walkable with several options for coffee and eats!I WILL DEFINITELY stay there again

It was so great to have a desk to work on that looked out into the greenhouse and all the pretty plants on a sunny afternoon. Quiet and comfortable to get lots of sleep. Fantastic and roomy shower. Easy driving to the city while feeling like you aren't staying downtown. Very private and clean, easy parking nearby. Would definitely stay here again!

Sweet little getaway I took my son on a little weekend getaway and this was the perfect home base. Michael provided an excellent list of walkable places to eat and drink. Plus when the sun came out, the greenhouse was perfect for relaxing with a nice cup of tea!
