We were very disappointed with our stay.
First, the check-in process was poorly communicated. Because we were traveling internationally by plane, we did not receive detailed check-in instructions until we landed — via WhatsApp. At that point, we learned that check-in occurred at a separate location from the apartment. Had this been communicated clearly and in advance, we could have planned accordingly. Instead, we had to cart our luggage through the rain to a different location before accessing the apartment. There should be a much better system in place for communicating essential arrival details, especially for international travelers.
We specifically booked this apartment because it advertised laundry availability. Based on our travel experience, we reasonably assumed this meant either in-unit laundry or machines located on the same floor. That was not the case. Had we understood how the laundry system actually operated, we would not have booked this property.
The laundry itself was extremely frustrating. We were not given any instructions at check-in. When we called to ask how to access it, we were told to pick up a key, which initially seemed manageable. However, the following day we were informed that the key could only be checked out in four-hour time slots and needed to be picked up and returned each time to a location two blocks away.
