What a wonderful place to stay in Porto. The Casa do Arquiteto is a lovely house, located only 10 mins walk from the old town and the waterfront. The house has been beautifullly renovated with spacious comfortable rooms. Daniela met us on our arrival and provided loads of information about where to go and gave us the app which they use which held all the information you would need. She provided our breakfast which was so lovely in our room as we had to leave early and allowed us to leave luggage in storage whilst we visited the Douro Valley. We couldn't have asked more from a host, she was lovely. We will definitely be returning to this lovely house.

Heavy construction right outside our room, clearly set to last for many months, made our stay unbearable. The noise ran daily from 8 am to 6 pm. With no alternative rooms, Daniela offered us the option to leave and confirmed the manager had agreed to a full refund so we could move hotels. She put this in writing, saying the refund would be processed within days. Weeks later, after repeated follow-ups and empty promises, we were finally told management had changed their mind and would not issue the refund. Calls were ignored, emails unanswered, and eventually our numbers blocked. Dishonest, misleading, and unprofessional — avoid this hotel.

This little hotel is fantastic, the space is beautifully designed, it’s in a great convenient location and Daniela stands out as she is so welcoming. She provided us excellent recommendations and even an app for us to use with more recommendations and information about Porto. I wish we had longer here as it’s just a lovely space to be.

Perfect Small Hotel
Just spent 3 nights at this beautiful small hotel. Everything was perfect. Our room was spacious, light and spotlessly clean. The bed, pillows and bedding were all so comfortable, and there were some lovely touches, such as a minibar that was restocked everyday, free of charge. There is a small backgarden, a little oasis to relax in when you've had enough sightseeing. Breakfast was fabulous, lovely fresh products and so much choice. But my biggest praise goes to Daniella, who was just incredible and so helpful. I can't praise our stay and Daniella highly enough. We will definitely be back

A lovely place to stay with little touches that make it feel special, staff were very helpful. Felt sophisticated without being pretentious. Really good location. Would definitely recommend.

This is a spectacular guest house. The service (Daniela) was exceptional. Very easy access to everything yet a block off the beaten path so no tourists and a quiet street. The street outside isn’t inviting, but once inside the rooms, service, breakfast are extraordinary. This is an oasis. Our best location in Portugal, highly recommended!
