The Hotel is a true 5 star. Unbeatable location facing the sea. The staff very professional. They are aware of everything but you don't know. Period palace with a new part very well integrated. Decoration with personality. Exceptional value for money. For me, the best in Porto. Excellent breakfast.

Vila Foz is a beautiful hotel in Porto, Portugal, with accommodating hostesses, hostesses, and bar staff. John and Pablo will ensure your drinks are perfect and served timely and excellent conversationalists. They have a 1-star Michelin restaurant, but we couldn't get a reservation due to our short stay. I recommend making a reservation when you book the room to ensure a vacancy. I'd give it six stars, but the app doesn't allow it. It's worth the stop. I wish I had more time to stay here!

For someone visiting Porto for the first time, it has an ideal position if you want to see the Atlantic Ocean as well. The hotel is well appointed, with good facilities. There is an old well kept part to the hotel, along with a new modern part. The spar is also up to date, and worth visiting. Breakfast and dinner were both of a high quality.

The place is quirky. Beautiful and stuffy. The rooms are well appointed and very comfortable The one thing that ruined pissed me off was sitting in the bar having a drink. We were by a window overlooking the park and water. We were asked to sit wherever we wanted. In about 20 mins a new young man appears in a dark suit saying that our table was reserved for someone else and we needed to move. Really? Our window seats were taken by a local young man who came in just after us and went into the other room. He sat alone for 20 mins fidgeting with two glasses of water at the table we abandoned for him. He left after 30 mins in a car. He wasn’t staying at the hotel. We were never apologized to or given an explanation. At first I was going to dismiss it but it really rubbed me the wrong way. I think the hotel is fine. If you are not Portuguese you may get sub par treatment. I’m not sure. But high class service doesn’t come with being booted out of your table before you even finish your drink. It left a really bad impression of the people working at this hotel.

DO NOT STAY IN THIS MEDIOCRE HOTEL, IF YOU’RE USED TO/EXPECT 5-STAR SERVICE I stayed at the MANOR HOUSE GARDEN SUITE. ROOM: The carpet was not vacuumed or cleaned adequately. There was a lot of fluff all over the floor. This was particularly noticeable on my wedding dress - all the fluff and dark dirt stuck on it and it was stressful to clean. SERVICE: Below average. I had to call reception late in the evening to request a turndown service, as they seemed to have forgotten. Their idea of turndown service involved a member of staff handing me new towels at the door. They didn't even enter the room. BREAKFAST: Limited breakfast buffet of which none of the options were impressive. Service was incredibly slow and I had to wait for almost an hour for what I ordered. I also had to remind them of my order. MY EXPERIENCE AND STAFF PROFESSIONALISM: I booked almost two years in advance for a couple of nights during my wedding. I made this clear to the hotel from the moment I booked the room. Initial communication with guest relations was good - they were friendly, responsive and seemed to understand what happens when a bride is staying. I made the hotel aware that people would be coming to my room to help me get ready for my wedding. I would assume that it is widely known that brides want photos of every moment of their wedding day. However, the staff didn’t make me aware, in advance, that photos were not allowed in the hotel. Shockingly, I found this out as they told off the photographers for taking pictures outside my room. While I understand that guest privacy is incredibly important, the staff have to make you aware, in advance, that there's no leniency and no photos are allowed even when there are no guests nearby. The way the staff handled the situation was appalling. Mara was very rude and unprofessional. She had no empathy whatsoever. The hotel was empty - I didn't see any guests around, so I begged (almost crying) to take some pictures where there was no one, especially in the garden, and she visibly couldn't care less about the situation. What's ironic is that influencers are allowed to take professional pictures with a photographer around the hotel. At the end of my stay, the hotel staff didn't even ask how it went. We then asked to register a formal complaint and again not a single person said sorry to us. The least I would have expected was a drink on the hotel to acknowledge that they caused a very stressful situation, but we didn't even say sorry. Most of the staff, especially management, need to go on some proper training. The final nail in the coffin was that the porters kept staring at us trying to juggle all our luggage to our taxi, as we left the hotel. We had to ask for their help to carry our bags, and wedding clothes. It's clear that poor service is common across all staff. There were very basic things missing, such as cleanliness, professional staff and a satisfactory breakfast. I'm confident there are many other hotels offer

It was a lovely hotel. Breakfast was nice, except the plastic in the pineapple. The staff seemed to ignore this even when I spoke with the waitress and Manager. The waitress at breakfast came across very harsh, not very enjoyable at all. Seemed to wait a while for a pot of tea, when my husband ordered a latte and received 5 minutes before me hummm. The Michelin star restaurant was super and the team really bought through this great experience, maybe something the breakfast team need to learn from.

Doing business in Portugal, I stayed in this lovely property for two nights. I wish that I wasn’t working during my visit as I could have really enjoyed more time on the property. The rooms are lovely, the bar is wonderful and the food is great. This is an A+ rating and the property should be given accolades by anyone fortunate enough to visit. I will definitely stay there again when coming back to Porto on business or pleasure.

We spent 4 nights at the hotel at the end of July / beginning of August. We booked 3 sea view Onice rooms, one for my husband and I and a couple for our grown up children. We wanted it to be a very special trip and it was truly special - if did not disappoint. The hotel has been beautifully refurbished and it’s extremely stylish. The rooms that we booked had amazing views of the sea and interestingly despite this area being breezy the balconies always felt extremely sheltered and warm - a great place to sit with an evening drink whilst looking at the ocean. The rooms were also very comfortable with good quality bedding (I am fussy in terms of my pillows) so we slept very well. There were also nice touches like a half bottle of port, complimentary water and good quality toiletries. On my birthday a bottle of Prosecco and chocolate cake was delivered to me by the hotel - again a thoughtful touch. One of the nicest things about this hotel was the breakfasts and in our case they were very relaxed and leisurely. Louisa was the lovely lady who looked after us at breakfast and I cannot praise her high enough. She was extremely caring and attentive and definitely contributed to making our breakfasts so very enjoyable. We also sampled the hotels Michelin restaurant one night. It was pricey as you would expect but was a wonderful and unique experience which we will remember forever. We hope to come back at some stage.
