Its a Good hotel to stay. Location is good. Service is very good.

The location is great, and although the facilities are not new, they are clean. It was a bit inconvenient that there was no tissue paper in the room, but other than that there were no problems.

Facilities: good Health: good Good environment Service: Very enthusiastic I'll arrange it next time. It's convenient for going out. It's close to the station and the tourist bus. I recommend it to friends.

We could not have been more pleased with this hotel. We have traveled all over Europe and this may have been our favorite place that we have ever stayed. Clean, great location, amazing value, comfortable. The front desk was extremely helpful and friendly. Super responsive to all of our questions, A big shout out to Pedro. It's rare that you see someone who enjoys their work so much, knows their customers so well, and creates such a positive vibe. He lightened our day each time we saw him. The Bastardo restaurant was superb for sushi lovers. Our server, Gabriela(?) recalled our wine order from the previous evenings. All in all 11 out of 10. We will be back!

Ideal location, wonderful staff, very clean! What’s not to like?! A great location, parking available a few minute walk away from the hotel. €24 for 24hour; parking is an art in some of the carpark facilities in Portuguese cities- this was probably one of the easier ones if you’re happy to play bumper cars 😆 Hotel is central - close to main attractions, quieter streets and local transport. Hard Rock Cafe directly across the street (if you like that sort of place!) or plenty of nicer cafes and eateries around and about. The quality, look and feel of the bars and restaurants is amazing! From trendy, to homely, traditional to classy. In fact, we would recommend doing your research before going! Hotel room - we stayed in 101 - double bed plus 2 singles, spacious and clean. There’s a fridge in the room and definitely recommend getting some drinks in. It’s a traditional, old building with creaky wooden floors, uneven corridors and a real authentic feel. A homely and interesting hotel. Staff - amazing! From the welcoming team at reception, to the cleaners, to the smiles from the breakfast crew! They couldn’t do enough. The guys in reception recognised us as we entered the building, had our room key ready for us and couldn’t do enough to make our stay an enjoyable one! Small things make a huge difference. Polite, friendly, engaging and respectful. Lovely team. Breakfast is served 7:30-10:00, a mix of warm and cold selections, plenty of tea, coffee and fresh juices. Traditional cakes and fruit were also on offer. Smiles from the lovely lady who couldn’t do enough for us. We will definitely be back, for the traditional experience and the staff! Thank you all for making our stay enjoyable.

We spent four days in this hotel, and can't praise it highly enough. Beautiful, old building, with modern amenities. Our room was very comfortable, with excellent shower and bathroom, and was kept clean every day by great housekeeping. The hotel is very well situated, with the river and the main attractions in walking distance. All the staff were friendly and efficient. We have to say a big thank you to Valerie on reception who found a piece of property we had lost. And a very special mention to Carla in the breakfast room. The breakfast selection is very good (especially the wide choice of delicious pastries and cakes!). It was a joy every morning to be met by Carla, and when we had an early check-out on our last morning, she made up a bag of breakfast goodies for us. Thank you.

Whilst this hotel is traditional looking it offers amenities which are from the 21st century and made for a very comfortable stay. The hotel’s rooms are quiet in a central location and air conditioned. We found the staff in this hotel very helpful and professional and made us feel very welcome.

The very small room (budget type) was very clean when we entered it (with the exception of the two blue plus strips on the bed which are extremely dusty). But during the three days, no cleaning was done, not even the garbage was taken away. The towels were not changed until the afternoon of the third day, when I had to ask the reception to change them, and even then I had to insist that they be changed. There was a problem with the payment. Although the reservation clearly says: "Prepayment: No prepayment is needed", three days before the start date of the stay at the hotel, they blocked €155 on the reservation guarantee card, the cost of the possible cancellation. When I arrived, I had to immediately pay the full amount, corresponding to the three nights. The receptionist said that the €155 blocked by them will be available again only after 10-15 days, that this is the hotel's policy. I notified Booking about the situation, and Booking replied that this should not have happened and that measures will be taken to prevent it from happening again in the future. So be careful when booking at this hotel, or you risk not having enough money in your account.

Centrally located and close to transport systems. Pleasant and efficient reception staff. Most helpful lady in charge of the breakfast room. Clean and comfortable room that was serviced each of the 5 days of our residency. Very helpful with stored luggage and assistance with taxi calls.

First, the staff, the best part of our lovely stay here. From the warm welcome at reception from the staff who immediately come to know your face and room number when you collect your key each day, to the beautiful woman working the breakfast service who so kindly and carefully prepared us a wrapped breakfast for our very early check out. The staff are the best part of this great hotel, hands down. Smiling, helpful, I can't say enough how lovely they all were. The location is excellent, in the heart of the city and with bars and restaurants all around. The double windows do a fantastic job of keeping the noise of that out when you want too. The room was small but comfortable. I would only have very slight feedback which I hope could be constructive. The beds in our 'twin room' could only be pushed about 4 inches apart due to the fixed bedside lockers, so this is small and could be too close depending on who you travel with. The bathroom was a little rundown but clean and perfectly functional; additions of shelves or hooks to allow you to store some cosmetics in there (as the counter was very small) would be great for comfort. The pillows were strangely uncomfortable to us, but that's a personal preference. The breakfast was fantastic and again, the lady working in the mornings is a beautiful person, helpful, smiling and unfailingly good-humoured. If that's one of the first people you meet in porto, you're guaranteed to love the place. I would happily recommend this hotel and would certainly stay here again.

I stayed at this hotel last year and the experience was very positive. This year had to return and my first choice was to book again. The hotel is very central and allows you to get everywhere. The staff is amazing, from reception to the restaurant they were all amazingly friendly and attentive. I must say that last year i was served by Carla Teixeira and this year when i went down for breakfast, was served again by this amazing lady. She has the most positive attitude and is very helpful with everyone, i ve asked her for a recommendation where to get a birthday cake made for the same day and she gave the best recommendation.

I was extremely polite when asking them if I could please use their restroom while I was exploring the city. They said no because it was ‘guests only’ despite the hotel being quiet as the grave. Really guys? I haven’t stayed at the hotel and would choose anywhere else on the basis of their pettiness in refusing a very harmless and easy to give request.
