The location is excellent! Right by the river in Porto! The hotel itself is part of the world's cultural heritage! The room you stay in has a river view and a direct view of the bridge! Highly recommended! The breakfast is also very rich! The room is relatively large! Clean and tidy! The scenery is excellent! You can take a cruise at the door! Many restaurants! The view was good and pretty. I thought I went around the area around São Bento Station a lot in Porto, but I ended up moving around the upper area more than around the Dom Luis Pontifical, so if you only want to see the view for a little while, it would be better to stay in another location than this hotel. I asked if I could change the room I originally reserved, but I was late the first day anyway, so I just passed, and they said they would change it for me the next day and ignored me. The restaurant breakfast was pretty good and the staff were friendly, but there wasn't anything particularly satisfying about the other facilities, but there are many hotels in that location that are half the price, so I don't think it's worth spending that much money on.

Heritage property so you get feel of history while staying in top class hotel Great property location right on the bank of river Douro. Lovely views from balcony. Very good breakfast. Excellent staff and service. Will recommend to our friends and have plans to come again.
