Environment: Very beautiful, very beautiful

The landscape is very good, on the cliff, there is a private beach, the pool and tennis courts are very beautiful. There are many plants in the garden, the service and the restaurant are perfect. There is a shuttle bus to the central area, about five minutes by car, very convenient. The central area is very noisy and the air is very poor. It is recommended to live here more comfortably.

We had the most enjoyable stay at Il San Pietro di Positano. Friendly and helpful staff, excellent food, exceptional design and decor, super comfortable beds, superb location. The views are stunning, like from a movie set. We can’t wait to be back!

Even with a terrible weather, two days of thunders, lightnings and showering rain, il San Pietro proved to be, and by far, the most beautiful hotel in the world. Congratulations for the passion that everybody in the staff spends to achieve such a wonderful result.

I don't have enough words to express our love for this hotel, our most memorable stay by far. Since arrival at Il San Pietro di Positano, the service has been nothing short of exceptional. The check-in experience was both professional and personable, taking the time to explain important details about the hotel as well as letting us enjoy some peace and serenity having a welcome drink with insane views. Our room overlooking the sea is magnificent. The dinner at Zass was incredible, both in service and in flavors. Attention to detail at breakfast was beyond typical, making us feel at home & welcome as well as completely taken care of. We were able to experience the complimentary 2-hour boat tour of the Amalfi coast, which was a beautiful addition, as well as the cocktail masterclass where we learned so much about the origins of the Negroni and got to participate in the process of making our own cocktail. We've been to countless hotels around the world and the level of sophisticated service here surpasses every single one. All our needs were attended to beyond our expectations. We usually wait until check-out to write a review but this level of service needs cherishing and publicity for anyone debating where to stay in Positano or on the Amalfi coast. Thank you to all the staff and the general manager for putting so much thought and work into creating unforgettable experiences. Do not change anything, you are perfect!

The MOST beautiful hotel I have ever stayed at!! The beauty of this hotel brought me to tears! We were blessed enough to have stayed here last summer and it has been in my dreams ever since! The staff and manager were so kind and friendly to my husband and I and to our two teenage daughters! We talk about our visit there all of the time and how we can’t wait to go back! I am blown away by the reviews with some of the negative comments ! While I respect their onions, I have to disagree and I hope that the hotel continues to keep it tranquil quiet so people can enjoy the beautiful sounds of nature and just relax!! One of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it’s secluded from the noise and chaos. I also could not have appreciated the beautiful soaps more and still have them set aside in their beautiful box. It was such a nice little gift and such a nice send off as we left what was the best property I have ever been to! Thank you to everyone at Il San Pietro! We will see you again soon!!❤️

What an amazing experience. Everything went far better than expected, which does not happen very often . We spent 2 nights ( not enough) August 29-31 Boat transfer from Positano port to Il San Pietro was quick and and welcoming. Staff at the check in was excellent. We were lucky to get upgraded which considering hotel was full , was not expected. The property is a short distance from Positano with beautiful view or the Positano. Being located on the hilltop gives you Panasonic views of the surroundings from everywhere.The property is very well kept and staff at front desk, beach , beach restaurant, pool , bits and bites , at the restaurant and at the parking area and exit were all outstanding. We love swimming in the sea and because of our age we dread going up and down the stairs to get to the beach. Having an elevator going down to the beach was a blessing. Staff at the beach club were very attentive and very helpful. We had a chance to try some amazing cocktails. The beach restaurant Carolina was serving some great food for lunch and dinner with breathtaking views. We were leaving the best for the last. The GM of the property is amazing. Andrea Zana is the best GM ever . He was everywhere greeting his guest from morning to night and helping them with A to Z. He made us feel like we are part of his family. No wonder rest of the staff in the property has same positive attitude. We are definitely going back. Recommend it without any reservations.

The San Pietro is a very, very special place. The rooms, setting and facilities are the height of luxury and comfort - but even more than that, there is a genuine warmth that runs throughout the hotel. Andrea and all of his team work tirelessly to create the perfect experience for all guests, with an authentic personal touch. It truly is a little slice of heaven. My parents and I just returned from a few wonderful days and we cannot wait to return. Grazie mille.

Words can’t describe the experience at this hotel. I’ve stayed at 5 star hotels all over the world and nothing comes close. From the convenient access, to the personal attention, this place is priceless. I can’t even comment on the views. The restaurants and managers are beyond any place I have ever been. This includes the burj al Arab and multiple Aman resorts. Be good to yourself and experience this place. A special shout out to the reservation manager and the hotel manager. Can’t wait for next year.

I felt so lucky and blessed to experience such a wonderful few days staying at this beautiful outstanding hotel. The staff made you feel very special and what wonderful views and great food. We have stayed in some magnificent properties all over the world but this tops them all. We can’t wait to return to this special area of Italy and visit San Pietro again.

I was so sad to leave this property yesterday. Not sad like the vacation was over, but actually sad like I was saying goodbye to family. There are really no words to describe the feeling you get when you walk the grounds of the hotel. The utter beauty, the true hospitality the staff shows, the quality and flavor of the food, the amenities, the unpretentious luxury that surrounds you…I can go on and on. Everything about Il San Pietro di Positano is exceptional – from the warm, personalised experience provided by the staff to the stunning amenities that make every moment unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcomed and valued; the General Manager greeted us personally, we were offered complimentary drinks, and enjoyed a wonderful tour of the hotel. Our room was beautifully appointed, featuring an incredibly comfortable bed, breathtaking views from our balcony, and exquisite finishes throughout. It exceeded our expectations in every way. Breakfast at Il San Pietro was a dream. The buffet offered an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality options, with something for every taste. From pastries and fruit to local delicacies, everything was beautifully presented and delicious. We especially loved the personalised touch – anything we requested, from perfectly poached eggs to delicate crepes and excellent espressos, was made on the spot. It was the ideal way to start each day, with fresh, varied options and stunning views to match. A standout highlight of our stay was the complimentary boat ride to Amalfi, where we enjoyed a picturesque swim in crystal-clear waters. The hotel’s amenities are equally outstanding, from the scenic outdoor gym and tennis court with a view to the exclusive beach club nestled against the cliffs – each detail truly exceptional. Every aspect of our experience at Il San Pietro was curated to perfection, seamlessly blending luxury with genuine hospitality. From the world-class service to the awe-inspiring setting, this was, without a doubt, the best hotel experience of our lives. We left feeling rejuvenated, pampered, and already planning our return. Honestly, this is the kind of hotel that makes it hard to even want to explore anything outside of it. Il San Pietro is a true gem, and we can’t recommend it highly enough.

We were absolutely blown away by ISP. We usually stay at Treville, a few hundred metres away towards Positano, but as they were closing for the season we moved to ISP. Treville dropped us off in their boat, and we made our way up the lift to reception. As soon as stepped out of the lift we immediately decided to extend our stay for another night. The views are simply extraordinary, and a we were fortunate to be upgraded to a suite with a wall of glass overlooking Positano. Even the shower and tub had the same panoramic view. The food was exquisite, both at the informal beach restaurant and their Michelin restaurant, Zass. Yes, it is expensive, but the food and drink prices are very reasonable for a hotel of this quality. The mini bar was included, and they even threw in lunch on the beach on the final day when they were closing. Throughout the stay, there was huge generosity of spirit, with the most charming staff, led by the best GM we have ever experienced running the show front and centre. It is unfair to compare ISP with Treville - they are both world class hotels. Treville is akin to staying with friends in their incredible private villa, whereas ISP is the full 5 star hotel package with facilities and restaurants to match. But both excel at service, with nothing too much trouble. We can’t wait to visit again!

Was recommended this hotel by a friend, and honestly knew nothing about the property before arrival. This was the last leg of our honeymoon around Italy, and the entire experience took us by surprise. I knew Amalfi was beautiful, but was shocked at the initial arrival, reception, and overall property at San Pietro. We were greeted by the GM and the receptionists, who could not have been nicer and more welcoming to the hotel. A glass of champagne, a congrats on the honeymoon, and an upgrade on the room was not necessary but of course very much appreciated. The room was astounding, as well as the rest of the grounds throughout our 3 nights on property. The service was impeccable in the bars, restaurants, pool, beach club, boats, and drivers. The only time I have had this type of personalized experience combined with a jaw dropping property was the original Taj Mahal Palace in Mumbai. The property is perfectly curated for beauty and convenience, and made 3 days on the property perfectly relaxing, indulgent, and absolutely first class. I cannot wait to return - bravo Il San Pietro!
