Checked in and was a little early, explained to the lady at reception that check in time wasn't on their web page or the email confirming the booking and that I had emailed them but hadn't received a reply. She checked their email system and found my email which also had request for info on parking and the fact I had made an error with the booking and had booked for one person. An apology was forthcoming, and the issues were soon put to bed! Had to pay a little more as you would expect given the change in occupancy from 1 to 2. Our room was ready so we were checked in. The maintainence man was at reception and he made a point of saying hello. The room was absolutely fine! Double room, USB charging ports and 2 13 amp plug points each side of the bed. The AC was running so the room was lovely and cool. There was a beverage station with tea/coffee/sugar/indiv cartons of UHT milk and a kettle. There was a mini fridge was was useful for keeping our water cold and, would have been ideal to have stored fresh milk in. Bathroom was more than adequate, walk in shower with choice of small showerhead or overhead shower and 2 dispensers of soap - in the shower and at the hand basin. There was a terrace facing the mountain (we have a sea view at home so not a deal breaker). There were two pool towels provided in addition to the usual face and bath towels. Breakfast was buffet style and as you would expect everything was on trays ready for you. I have read some negative comments on the breakfast but, remembering it's not UK so you will not get the same bacon & sausages. Additionally for the cost of the room at €121 per night the breakfast was good value - I've had breakfasts where your order is cooked on request but its always been at a much higher room rate! There was a mix of food available from eggs (boiled, fried, scambled)/bacon/sausage/mushrooms/mini waffles, sausage on crossaints. A selection of 'continental foods - cheeses, cold meats etc and a wide selection of fresh fruit, with cereals & yogurt with fresh tea & coffee. The staff in the breakfast room were very attentive and polite. The pool had plenty of sun beds and umbrellas, the pool opened at 0900hrs which was when the lifeguard was on duty - Cyprus has very strict laws on lifeguards attending pools and a pool without a lifeguard cannot be used by the public. The poolbar has a wide range of drinks & snacks available. There is a pharmacy just across the road, and a supermarket on the opposite corner to the hotel so you don't have to go far for water/tea/coffee/milk or pharmacy supplies! The hotel is at one end of the Protaras '*****' and along the ***** there are plenty of options for eating, drinking & entertainment. The underground parking has very few spaces but there is on street parking too. No matter who you met from the hotel staff they always acknowleded you. The bedroom was spotlessly clean and you could always tell when housekeeping had visited! There was really good WiFi which a
