Best Hotels in Province of Syracuse

This is the hotel where we stayed. The building outside appears to be an old historic building, but inside staffs are very cooperative. Our check-in was very smooth. The staff tried helping us. Continental breakfast was nice. There was no English channel on the TV, so that forced us to learn some local Italian languages such as Grazie, Prego, etc. The hotel is within walking distance from the train and bus station. If I visit Siracusa again, then I will stay there.

It is only a few hundred meters away from the ancient Greek theater, and only one or two kilometers away from Ortigia, which is completely walkable. The location is convenient, the hotel facilities and breakfast are all of Mercure’s consistent quality and satisfaction.

We were able to obtain a simple but comfortably furnished room with a most adequately furnished kitchenette, small dining set, and comfortable side chairs at this easy hotel for a very reasonable price. We had a slice of a pretty view of the sea from our window balcony. We also had easy access to a rooftop terrace which was never crowded and enjoyed our cocktail hours there. We stayed at the hotel nearly a week and couldn't have asked for better staff, who were knowledgeable and courteously helpful. At the continental buffet breakfast, the staff were happy to bring you a cappuccino or expresso. The hotel is centrally located in Ortigia and we walked all over the island. There's a handy hop on hop off bus to go to mainland Siracusa with a stop near the hotel. We loved wandering the neighborhood alley-like streets immersing ourselves in the Sicilian lifestyle.

Travelling on a ten day holiday Sicily jewel of the Mediterranean with Titan Travel flying from Gatwick airport to Catania were we where met by our guide Denise and driver Claudio and taken to the Eureka Palace hotel for a three nights stay. Being a solo traveler the room is very important my room was spacious, comfortable and I had a lovely balcony which looked out onto a racecourse which was very interesting watching the horses in training with riders or buggies each morning, we were a group of 40 travellers the evening meal’s were set menu but the food not very good, the breakfasts were excellent buffet style you could choose what to eat plenty of choices, the staff were very friendly and helpful but they did seem to be rushing around covering other areas of the hotel. During our stay we visited Syracuse, Ortigia, Noto, Ragusa, Modica. On departure from the hotel I paid my hotel room tax at reception, staff were very friendly and helpful I enjoyed my stay.

We are not inclined to reviews but this was compulsory. We celebrated and celebrated our wedding at the Grand Hotel Villa Polit. The day was inconceivable beyond any desire, the banquet a success. We thank the chef, the kitchen and room staff, the master, the property and the management, but more than for the wonderful event for the kindness and patience of helping us organize it. 4 star hotel in great location 500 meters south to Ortigia Island 2km to the north to reach the archaeological site park Rich variety of breakfast There is free parking on the side of the road at the entrance. There is an enthusiastic uncle in the shop opposite to tell me how to park better The roadside room is noisy due to the sweeping work in the early morning, but the balcony is great. Last year we were here ... They were a little badly organized but all over it we found ourselves well, clean rooms and pleasant living, both to return to us this year but ... nothing like before. Unexisting organization , we arrived at 15.00 and the room wasn't ready, we had to wait an hour. At 16.00 we enter the room and I feel a terrible smell ... I open the box and fall a piece of wood into my feet ... There were hair and hair and myrrels everywhere (the latter also on bed) ... Please tell the reception and give me an insecticide spray 😒 At 23.30 We go to the country to pick up 2 oranges We go back to the room, we put them on the table the time of a shower and myrrels come into the oranges (althen closed) . I go to the reception again find the guard, I get a kit and a pallet to clean the room and (2 ice cream to dine) ... In the bathroom under the bidet there was a finished toilet paper roll, This makes me understand that the room before our arrival was not even broken. I'll clean the room again to fix it tomorrow but with little results.. We asked to talk to the owner but we were told that he couldn't come that day. Swimming pool and quite clean grass, good breakfast. Ps: For the discomfort they didn't make us pay the extra €35 for the cleaning of the dog, even because the room was cleaned I at midnight 😅... A recommended place only for 1 day in the pool without stay.

As a small family hotel, we can't expect too much, but it's still worth staying. The location of the hotel is good, it is very convenient to go to Ortiga Island and the city center. The owner of the hotel was very enthusiastic and took the initiative to guide us to the scenic route and introduced us a very delicious Mediterranean restaurant. As a family hotel, the rooms are clean and tidy, which of course cannot be compared with large hotels. Mainly in terms of facilities.
