Hotel Brisas Del Pacifico

We stayed for 3 nights during our trip to the Galapagos, and overall, it was a fine experience. The hotel is in a good location, which made it easy to get around, and there's a convenient empanada stand right next door—a nice bonus! These empanadas were one of the highlights of our stay in Santa Cruz and are just $2-4 USD each. The room itself was decent. The big bed was comfortable, and we appreciated having a full-size mirror. However, there were a few downsides. The shower water was too hot most of the time, which was a bit uncomfortable, and the window opened to a wall, so there was no view to speak of—not ideal. There was also no safe in the room, but this seems to be fairly standard for accommodations in the Galapagos, so we weren’t too surprised. All in all, it’s a decent place to stay if you’re not expecting anything fancy. The location and comfort of the bed made up for the minor inconveniences.

The room was spacious, with a large, comfortable bed that made it easy to relax after a day of exploring. While the room itself wasn't anything overly fancy, it had all the essentials, including a full-length mirror, which was a nice touch. The location was fantastic — situated near the main *****, with easy access to shops, restaurants, and attractions. Plus, it was right across the street from two fantastic empanada stands, which made grabbing a quick, cheap, and delicious bite incredibly convenient. The only downside was the window in the room, which opened to a wall, so there was no view to enjoy. Additionally, there wasn't a safe in the room, but this seems to be a common issue in the Galapagos. Another aspect that could be improved was the shower. The water pressure and temperature fluctuated frequently, often getting too hot, which was a bit frustrating. Despite this, I felt comfortable, and the hotel met our basic needs during our short stay.

I just want the basics ammeneties It was the 3rd room they gave me that had, working shower (barely), wifi and air-conditioning. Just a bit annoying to spend time switching rooms

The water stuck on. They moved me to new room right away. Empanadas right across the street. Very convenient. A little loud. Great tv. Would recommend.

The room was spacious. It was very difficult to set the shower temperature. Without luggage, you can easily walk to the port and a few other places.

The staff and service was ok, I don’t like the rooms and the location

Lack of amenities - 1 towel per person per day is inadequate.

The building is farther from the waterfront (just a block off Ave Baltra then seven blocks to Academy Bay) than other places I’ve stayed while in Puerto Ayora. For an overnight stay, the room was plain, yet comfortable. I was most impressed by the dawn view of town during breakfast on the top floor. Some guests may be pleasantly surprised to learn the building has an elevator.
