No Wi-Fi except in lobby. My room had the feeling of a sanitorium. Plaster peeling off all walls in my room. Pictures are worth 1000 words. My photos really do say it all. Hotel does not have maintenance man on call. The guest works around HIS schedule. Howling dogs all day long.

Be sure not to get a room on the right side of the hotel. It is next to a bar that plays music and the rooms are not sound proof. I am in room #2 which is next to the lobby and adjacent to the bar next door. Very noisy and difficult to sleep. This is my first night here and I’ve requested to change rooms. Hoping to get a room tomorrow that is not as noisy.

The room was very basic, a small bathroom with plaster coming away from the wall, the window looked out into the hall, it was very noisy and you could hear everything outside,went for breakfast at 8.oclick and most of the food was gone and they didn't bring out anymore, I thought it was like a cheap hostel,even the WiFi was sporadic. I don't recommend it.

This place was like a budget-friendly time machine to 1977 – a half step up from a hostel, or maybe just a fancy version of my teenage budget nightmares. The room felt like a blast from the past, but not in a cool way. It was essentially putting lipstick on a pig. The bathroom was a contender for the "Worst Ever" title, and the shower was both a challenge and a horror story. The bed felt like a medieval torture device, and the pillows seemed to have aged alongside disco music – a solid 20 years. I could go on, but I'm running out of creative ways to describe this experience. The pool decided to take a permanent vacation, and breakfast was a horror show. My advice? Opt for the sea lion bench-sleeping experience instead – you'll thank me later.

The location was okay, but the hotel itself was very poor. Barren room with no hot water. The soap was the size of a postage stamp and there were no extras like a hairdryer. The wifi was accessible only in the lobby and only sometimes. The breakfast buffet was okay but very random-even cookies one morning. They made "waffles" by putting bread in a waffle iron. There were also some fall risks like a lip around a center hallway "garden" as well as a step up into the bathroom. It seemed like kids running the place. Very poor.

Some rooms much nicer than others. We were with a tour group. Our room was tiny and dark. Our friends upstairs had a balcony with nice views. Breakfast was 2 floors up with no lift. Coffee was available in the lobby as was the wifi. Easy walk to the town.

Positives Staff: Helpful Breakfast; Varied Beds: Comfortable Location: Great Room Service: Excellent Negative: I had an electric shock in the shower (rm.7). No apology, which left a negative feeling over our time here. Fingers crossed it has been fixed. Decor: Dated and in need of a makeover.

I was surprised at the 5 star reviews and the fact that Trip Advisor gave them 4 and a half stars , this is a very very basic tour company hotel . Paint peeling off the walls , even our tour host said the hotel has a prison feeling . Small rooms with one window very high the other facing the hallway of the hotel , your window shades were down the entire time . Hot water in the shower but only cold water in the sink . The sink was not even attached to the base , so if you barely touched the basin it would fall . The tap in the sink was what you would find in a public restroom , you press the knob down and get 10:seconds or less of cold water before it shut off and you would try the process all over again. Forget tv …we don’t usually watch much tv on vacation , but here it didn’t matter anyways . There was a refrigerator in the room but it was unplugged so forget about chilling anything. No wi-fi in the rooms just in the very small lobby . When I went to use the wi-fi , the seating was usually filled with other guests . The tour guide said there was a pool but it belonged to the business next door and if you wanted to use it you had to purchase a drink , but I never saw it open at anytime . Besides the pool looked dirty . There was good air conditioning though . The breakfast room on the top floor ( four floors with no elevator ) was not bad . Lots of fresh juices and fresh fruit. Breads and eggs cooked to order. The men in the breakfast room were very friendly , trying to accommodate everyone. The hotel is close to the city center and the harbor and lots of restaurants . The people at the desk were kind but not very helpful as most did not speak much if any English . There was cold water in the lobby to fill your water bottles . This is not a hotel I would book for myself .

I don’t see how this could be rated as 4.5 star hotel on Trip Advisor. There are 4 floors, no elevator and breakfast is on top floor, weak wifi only in small lobby, old, dated shower and sink in bathroom, hot water in shower but only cold tap in sink, small high window that you couldn’t see out of, a second window looked into the hallway, no safe in room, tv didn’t work, very small pool and patio. Air conditioner worked, bed comfortable, staff at continental breakfast were friendly. Seemed like staying in a hostel. We were there on an Exoticca group trip.
