This was our second stay and we had another great time. The complex is clean and the staff are really friendly. Never had a problem getting a sunbed and staff always arranged a taxi when needed. Highly recommend for a quiet adults only holiday

We are just back from our 8th stay in these apartments – and as usual we had a great holiday. As always the staff, especially Benjy at the pool bar, and Aron in reception, made us very welcome. The apartments have been recently refurbished and we were looking forward to seeing the results; this review will focus on these refurbishments. The apartment had been painted white all over including the doors. Some of the lights had been changed so the apartment generally was very bright. There were a couple of pieces of art in the sitting area but these were behind the sofa and so not easily seen, the décor, together with the furniture, gave an impression of minimalism. The kitchen cabinets had been replaced and a new extractor fan installed (an instruction would have been useful) . The kitchen was, as always, well equipped but a dish that could be used in the microwave would be useful. (We actually bring a plastic one with us) In the sitting area the television was on a white table and there was a light coloured coffee table with a useful shelf beneath it. Some coasters to put drinks on would be useful as this table will not be as forgiving as the glass topped one it replaced. (we used some beer mats from the bar) For seating there is a large sofa. Sadly I have to say it was possibly the most uncomfortable sofa I have sat on. I am short and in order to get any support I had to pile a cushion and two of the outside seat cushions behind me and even then I ended up with a sore back. Before the refurbishment there was a second chair which I would use with just one of the outside cushions and be very comfortable. The bathroom had just been painted and was fine. In the bedroom the beds had been replaced with a very comfortable king sized one. The two bedside lockers (which had had drawers) had been replaced by two large white round butler tables . We really felt the lack of drawers, there is good storage space in the wardrobe – but not as useful as drawers would have been. I have always tried to leave surfaces clear for the cleaners – it was much harder this year as the wardrobe was the only place in which to put personal items. The refurbishment clearly came at a cost with the result that the price per night has increased dramatically and the extras (which are spelt out on a sheet left clearly on the coffee table) add to the cost. 3 euros a day for the safe and 2.50 for a fan really eat into the cash if you are staying for more that a few days. (we stayed for 3 weeks and did not need a fan). We still love these apartments but the extra cost (as well as the lack of comfortable seating) mean that we will look at other options for the future

Such a good hotel, amazing receptionist Aron- I forgot my jewellery at the hotel when I flew home and he kept it safe for me and kept in contact to help me get it back to England. Would definitely recommend staying here really god location also.

Really good place. Arrived when reception was closed but good comms from the team ensured we got our keys & to our room without issue. The room was spotless & looked like it had been renovated recently. Everything that you needed. Ours was a first floor appt with a sea view if you looked to the left. Pool area is great. Location fantastic ( you do get used to Cardiac Hill) Great being adults only too! Will definitely return

Overall, we enjoyed our stay at Isla Lobos however we thought that there is some room for improvement. The main positives are that the staff are lovely and well organised. We arrived late, after reception was closed, and we were able to easily follow the detailed instructions to get our room key etc. The staff also helped us book a taxi back to the airport which was very much appreciated and printed off our boarding passes for us. The apartments are adults only so it was usually quiet which we really liked. The apartments have recently been refurbished and look nice on the surface, however, going onto the negatives, I feel that our room, room 25, was still in need of some improvements. An electrical socket was broken and probably dangerous and there were lots of unfinished areas that looked unpleasant and rushed. The rooms were minimal and an easy/inexpensive improvement Isla Lobos could make would be to add a few decorations to make the room look more interesting and inviting. The window was very stiff and the balcony door didn't seal shut properly so you could hear all of the noise from the busy road. The TV was pointless if you wanted to watch anything in English. We managed to find 2 English channels, one was the news and a comedy channel. The doors and sliding wardrobes are old and are not refurbished. They are very noisey. They would wake you up when the neighbours came back late at night. Even if you tried to use them quietly, you couldn't! There are also many extra charges at the hotel such as 3 euro a day for the safe and also if you would like to keep your room for an extra hour on your last day, you have to pay 25 euros which is incredibly expensive. Other hotels we have stayed at would just let you stay for an hour or two for free as long as the room wasn't needed. It is also rare that you have to pay extra for a safe anymore so I think it would be beneficial for Isla Lobos to revisit their policies as no one likes paying extra for a safe when they have paid a lot for their room already. There were other extra charges such as a charge for making the bed into twin beds or wanting to change rooms if you were unhappy with the one given. Due to the fact that the hotel is not in a prime spot (it is one of a handful of hotels that have no south facing rooms) I would have expected that they would have put a lot of care and attention into their rooms instead, to try to attract and maintain their customers but this sadly doesn't appear to be the case at the moment. We would have liked to have loved the hotel as the staff a nice, it's adults only, and is close to the *****, but we will be on the search for other accomodation for next year as we were disappointed with the rooms and all the extra charges. Maybe we will check back to see if any improvements have been made in the future, and if they have, I'm sure we will give it another try.

Great spot near the ***** in Puerto Del Carmen, out of the way enough to avoid all the noise too. Very clean, very well-equipped apartments. Great, friendly cleaning staff. There is a supermarket nearby, too in walking distance, and a bigger Mercadona one further up. Eating out is so cheap locally, I did this many times and it supports local businesses. Reasonably priced, and I'd definitely return. The only thing to be mindful of if you limited mobility is that there is a steep incline up the hill when walking to this site.

So central to the main *****. Spotlessly clean, plenty hot water. Very easy check in, reception wasn’t open on the day. Very safe and secure. Pin no required to access the apartment. We were given a bottle of bubbly and chocolates to celebrate Christmas. Would love to come back. Thank you for everything 🎅🎅 xx

From checking in to checking out it was hassle free, nice and quiet as off the front but only a 5 min walk, it is up a hill so not ideal if you are disabled I guess. I would come back

Fantastic stay at apartment Isla de lobos. Checking in was easy you just call the number on the door and they had our keys in a lock box. Pool was ideal for the few apartments there and very deep. Snack bar seemed nice unfortunately they guy the runs it was away the week we were there but came back the last day and it looked good. Loungers could use an upgrade but we're good. Apartment was super spacious and really modern looking. No air conditioning but wasnt too hot there. Big fridge and freezer. No soap though so bring your own. Big hill to get to the complex but super close to town. Receptionist was so helpful and really nice. 100% advise you to check it out. Close to old town and new town.
