This was our 6th time staying a this beautiful complex. Little issue at the start, but for me it how a hotel deals with it, as mistakes can happen, team as always sorted quickly. We love this hotel and all the staff, especially my girls at breakfast, always greeted with big smiles, plus bacon cooked how hubby and I like it❤️ I promise you will not be disappointed, book it xx Tony & Josi

Just had 11 nights at the Barcarola Suites - arrived late after a 2hr delayed flight. Dropped off down the road with no idea where we were going. Arrived at the gated complex to be buzzed in by the security guard. We had 3 apartments booked and had asked for them to be as close as possible to one another, this was granted. Rooms were lovely and clean - maids came in everyday and did a great job. Towels and bedding changed when you asked. Breakfast was brilliant, everything you wanted, staff in the dining hall kept everything running smoothly. No queuing for anything, toaster was great, coffee machine too. Sun beds available everyday with no sun bed wars. Pool area was lovely and clean, and the gardens well maintained. I liked the fact it was very secure, the gate was shut at 11pm (I think), then you had to use your card to get in, the security man was always there watching and gave us a wave every night. If I had to give a negative it would be that the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and only 1 very flat pillow. Overall a very pleasant and chilled place

Fabulous holiday with 5 star treatment from all the staff. Everything was supplied, including shower wash and shampoo in a beautiful bathroom. Very comfy beds. Will definitely return. Perhaps the sunbeds could be improved....only minor gripe!

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at The Barcarola apartments. We stayed in room B1. Premium updated room. Overlooked the main road. Good spot for people watching 😊 A little noisy but only from the chatter of people enjoying themselves in the bar across the road. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Lovely walk in shower and complimentary amenities. Modern apt. Hob, kettle and toaster, fridge. Staff are friendly and helpful. Grounds are beautiful and maintained well. Will be staying again!!

Fabulous place. All staff are very friendly and helpful. We found everywhere to be spotless and very well maintained. The apartment we stayed in was lovely, serviced daily, very spacious, comfortable beds and beautiful bathroom with the best shower ever! The breakfast was excellent with a plethora of choice and served at reasonable times suitable for early or later risers. Seating for breakfast either inside or outside on the patio area. The very well behaved resident egret was on ‘duty’ at breakfast time and at the pool bar where snack lunches were available. He didn’t bother you at all but happy to be thrown a morsel! Pool and sun bed area was kept well, decorated with palm trees and plants and they did not allow early reserving of sun beds - not that you needed too as plenty of sun beds, cabanas around. Complex situated right at the heart of things yet lovely and quiet on site. The only criticism I would have is there is not a huge amount of clothing storage - a wardrobe with single shelf and drawer. There was a coat stand and a few wall pegs dotted around, but would maybe benefit from a chest of drawers in the bedroom (the appt we stayed in had plenty of space for this.) or maybe we just take too much luggage! :) A great stay and would definitely recommend to my friends and family and we look forward to staying again.

Arrived later in the evening and greeted in the evening with a lovely friendly face. Food at the pool bar is nice, again friendly staff and reasonable prices. Breakfast had a lot of options for all tastes. Nespresso coffee machine with pods, fresh fruit, yoghurt, pastries, cereal and freshly cooked hot options. Beautiful complex, relaxing oasis pool area with plenty of sun beds. Knocking off a star as the apartment was quite basic and the bed was quite uncomfortable however we were shown a premium apartment on request for next time which you should definitely book. Location won't be beaten, perfectly placed on the front of the strip with everything close by

We have stayed here 7 times , at the last count. We have just returned home last Monday from our latest visit. This is the nicest and most relaxing place we have ever stayed. It is spotlessly clean, the rooms are so comfortable and the staff are so friendly. The restaurant for breakfast is fantastic and the variety is extensive. The pool is tranquility itself with plenty of sun loungers and the grounds are kept in pristine condition. You may find other less expensive places to stay but you will NOT find a nicer or more relaxing Holiday Hotel with AnticaTrattoria Di Verona right next door.

We stayed at the Barcarola Club for 10 day. There were buidling works going on in the appartments behind ours, but this did not cause any problems with our stay. The appartment was dated and in need of a face lift, hence the building works. The appartment was cleaned every day, with fresh towels and bed linen if required. The complex is well maintained with a beautiful pool area. Very helpful staff especially Lou would worked at the pool bar. Great location. Would definately visit again. Highly recommended. PS Lovely choice of breakfast.

If you are looking for a quiet stay forget it. Building renovation going on whilst we are here. Drilling from 8 till 5 every day apart Sunday and dust all over our apartment. Came to sit outside away from it at the pool area this morning and told off for being there before the pool opened at 9am. Explained that I couldn’t sit at my balcony as I would be covered in cement dust. It what you pay over 2000 pounds for a week for. I really believe that places should be made to advertise this is happening as we were looking for a relaxing holiday not a building site!

This was our fourth visit to Barcarola and as ever, we were very happy overall. To start with, when we booked we had emailed to ask for the same apartment as we had last year, and while we were told it could not be guaranteed, we found on arrival that we had been allocated the apartment we requested! A great start. We always book bed and breakfast and the breakfast buffet always has something for everyone. The apartments are quite basic but clean and functional. The maids are very good and obviously take care and pride in making guests feel comfortable. The reception staff are always very polite and helpful. The grounds are beautifully kept by a small team of friendly maintenance men, and there are plenty of sunbeds and lots of space in the sun and under shade. Mara, who runs the activities was very enthusiastic and managed to get the Germans, Dutch, Irish and us Brits all together on various activities. Everything you would need is in easy walking distance along the strip, and there are plenty of other things to do and see around the island. We loved it and will be booking to go back at the same time next year very soon.

Second time staying at Barcarola and I can’t fault it. Beautiful apartments and the entire complex is gorgeous and the extremely well maintained. Staff are lovely and really helpful. Breakfast has a great selection and again staff are so nice. Predominantly couple with only a couple of families but this was ideal for me as my son has autism and can get overwhelmed if it’s too noisy etc. Will definitely be returning in the future.

This is a fabulous place. How can apartments right on the main strip be so peaceful? It’s perfect for those who want a quiet, chilled out holiday. Rooms are great, kitchen is well kitted out and has a large fridge with smaller freezer. Wi-Fi is intermittent in the bedroom, but great everywhere else. Plenty of sun beds for everyone but limited umbrellas, and because they’re fixed into the ground they’re pretty much ineffective in the afternoon due to sun position, but there are other shaded areas from trees. Music around the pool isn’t great but isn’t too loud so can be ignored. Staff are all amazing, reception, chef, cleaners, gardeners, all just so friendly. Nothing is too much for them. Breakfast is fabulous with lots of choice. The chef cooks bacon & fried eggs in front of you, and omelettes to order. As the road is a single lane one-way carriageway, pickup/drop off is at the bus stop around 200m away. My only criticism would be that for a 4 star, I would expect at least a complimentary bottle of water, especially for those arriving on night flights. Shops shut at 10pm so those arriving later are literally left without food & drink until morning. We loved this place, and there were lots of returning guests demonstrating how much others loved it too.

Very good location just off main road and close to bus stops. Also a little away from the main hub which suited us. Safe walking in bith directions. Reception, house, maintenance, gardening Staff excellent. Less enthusiastic about bar so visited only once. Apartment cleaned daily, also towelling daily as required. Kitchen did not provide dish washing liquid. Only one coffee sachet per person. On entry, apartment did not give off a homely feel. Random furniture and not the most comfortable. Settee fabric in need of refrshing. Very comfortable bed. Lack of atmosphere about the resort.
