Secret Garden Iguazu

The Secret Garden is truly a hidden gem. Great hospitality - cocktails and snacks at the end of the day and a tasty, filling breakfast. Our room was large and comfortable. The staff were lovely and accommodated our request for a late check-out.

I really like this place and would not hesitate to stay here again. My wife did not like it. We had just finished a 5-star cruise on Viking! So in this regard for her, it was a letdown for her. Secret Garden is a cute, 5-room lodging in the backyard of a house in a residential area. The entrance is deceptive. It is much nicer once you get to the Secret Garden. It is spotless and the rooms are comfortable with air conditioning and lots of hot water. The breakfast is quite good and ample with French press coffee, scrambled eggs, OJ, fresh fruit, toast, etc.. The service is excellent and Josephina and Solidad were friendly and hospitable. It is not a 5-star hotel and I did not expect it to be. I highly recommend Secret Garden and would definitely stay here again, but not if I am traveling with my wife.

Very cute B&B style accomodation with lovely staff and nice gardens. Our room was spacious and the bed and pillows were very comfy. The staff went out of their way to help us with late check in, early breakfast and transfers. I thoroughly recommend this for budget conscious travellers who need comfort but not luxury.

We spent three nights at Secret Garden and found it a lovely experience, much nicer (we think) than the big American style hotels along the main road. The garden is delightful, the rooms are charming, excellent breakfast and very kind, welcoming staff. Our only complaint is that we found the bed in our room small and uncomfortable. Otherwise highly recommended.

Immaculately clean, pretty little guesthouse on a side street away from the throngs of Puerto Iguazu but close to all amenities. It’s not plush or glamorous but it does what it says on the tin, the staff couldn’t be more helpful - Sole and Josefina were brilliant, booking taxis, providing a lovely breakfast, handling a cheap bag of laundry - and booking was friendly and efficient, based on trust as no deposit required upfront. Felt exceptionally secure, aircon was a godsend in 35-36 degree heat, and certainly best caipirinhas I’ve ever had! A simple base from which to explore both sides of Iguazu. Only thing I’d change is that a pool would be nice but the charm of this property is its size and there just isn’t space!!

This is a very friendly charming little B&B with only 3 rooms and a host who is always ready to help make your stay enjoyable. This place is very unassuming when you first arrive. It is in a residential area with friendly neighbors who greet you as you walk by. If you are looking for a luxury resort with pool, this is not it. There is a very pretty dining area with a wooden walkway to the rooms though a beautiful garden. It really feels like a hidden garden in the jungle. When we rang the bell we were met by Loreda, who showed us to our room and returned a short time later with possibly the best caipirinhas ever and some a nice tray of little sandwiches. The rooms are simple, but nicely decorated, clean, and air conditioned. You can easily walk to town from here. The breakfast is toast, eggs, orange juice, coffee, and fruit salad. Very nice! Loreda will also cook you a nice dinner if you ask. The addition to our bill was very reasonable. One evening we did not feel like going out and we asked Loreda if we could dine in. She offered a few options and we chose pasta. We had told her we were vegetarians and within a short time we were presented with a very good plate of pasta with a no- meat sauce, with wine. It was perfect. The only note of caution is that when I booked through ***********, the app did not alert me to the fact that the Hidden Garden is cash only (pesos or dollars). Luckily we had enough on hand to settle up. Most earlier reviews mention a different host (Eduardo). We were helped by Loreda and another woman who might be her daughter. Both delightful people! It was a great stay and we would come back!
