There was construction going on throughout our stay. It was hammered and sawn. The entire facility was dirty and was not cleaned. The restaurant & bar area was not accessible due to the construction work. We felt out of place. Wifi was not available and I had hair in the food and dead flies in my juice at every breakfast. The kitchen prepares good food, but has nothing for vegetarians. Toilet paper wasn't refilled when the room was "cleaned" and the "new" sheets were stained.

We arrived to La Habana Amazon Reserve (hotel) in Puerto Maldonado, Peru, only to be told that they no longer work with **********
Our reservation was ignored and we had to go look for another hotel in a place that is completely new today us.
Hotels.con has not refunded my credit card yet. Based on this experience, I don’t expect to use or recommend ********** ever again unless you can promptly remedy this very concerning experience with your service.

I booked a room here through Chase travel and I showed up to find they said my reservation wasn't there. I had confirmation from Chase and they not only turned me away but offered ZERO help in finding an alternative for me and were rude about all of it. Do NOT depend on a secure booking here.

Great little place. The cabanas are simple but nice. There is electricity and even a minifridge. This is not luxury, but it is great simple, clean and comfortable. There was a wall between the bathroom and house, but the wall didn't go all the way to the ceiling. There is no AC, but the temperature is shockingly mild and cool at night in Puerto Maldonado. So, we didn't miss it. The place windows and walls were fully mosquito netted, so there were no nets over the beds, but we never saw any mosquitos and had no bites. I don't like luxury hotels where everything is perfect and just like home, so this place was excellent to me. We never had time for the pool or canopy tower, but they are available. We also didn't eat with them as our guide took us to other places.
