Crown Paradise Golden All Inclusive Resort - Adults Only
3.6/5103 Reviews
This is an affordable all-inclusive place to stay with a nice beach for swimming and sitting on the sand. There isn't much shade but you can rent a beach umbrella and chairs. The lobby and buffet are open air so it can get really hot during the warmer months. The food was safe, but unremarkable. There was a good variety of choices everyday and each night at the buffet had a theme, such as Mexican, Seafood night and BBQ to name three. We were there at the beginning of October and the weather was still quite hot and the Air Conditioning in the inside restaurants was not quite strong enough to cool the place down, but the servers were excellent. I was worried before arriving that the hotel would be noisy at night, but they have a night club for the resort across the street for all of the late night partiers making the hotel a quiet place to rest and sleep. However, one of the elevators must have been over something very stinky because most of the time, there was a smell of sewer for a lot of our rides. It was the elevator that was for the rooms on the beach front side of the hotel that went up to the 7th floor. The other elevator in that section only went up to the 6th floor. The rooms were nice and clean and the bed was comfortable. We were on a top floor with roof exposure so our room was never able to cool down below 77 degrees despite the hotel's efforts to fix the AC so I had difficulty sleeping. I understand the lower rooms were nice and cool for sleeping. The maid did a great job keeping our room clean! This is a great place to stay for those who like a busy active beach area. It is centrally located which makes it easy to go into town or access tours. The hotel staff was great. If you want a more relaxing, quieter beach and pool, you will probably need to go elsewhere.
Hotel Porto Allegro Puerto Vallarta

I stayed at the Porto Allegro, also known as the Porto Alegre, for a week in January 2022. For its price range, this is a good choice. Located on a small side street just north of the Rio Cuale, it's basically in the heart of the tourist zone without any street noise. I did not have any noise issues from other guests, but I guess it all depends on who's staying there when you are. (There isn't any carpeting or sound dampening inside the building, so you get that shotgun-blast effect when people close their doors.) The rooms are nothing fancy but perfectly fine. I found the mattress very comfortable - not mushy at all. Room temperature was controllable by A/C and fan. Roller blinds to block all light when needed. Importantly, the shower was A+ - strong flow and maintained constant temperature. Also importantly, wi-fi was excellent. I only experienced an outage for a couple hours one weekday afternoon, who knows why. TV had several hundred channels, mostly Mexican with a few U.S. channels thrown in. Free breakfast every morning with a good variety. Inside the room, there's complimentary coffee and bottled water, and they'll give you a bottle of wine upon arrival. There's a rooftop hot tub and a ground-level ”fitness center” consisting of a treadmill, a rack of light free weights, and an all-in-one weight machine that is kind of useless. Staff everywhere is super nice and responsive. i had a few issues that were taken care of immediately.

We ended up getting to the property a couple hours before check in but our concierge Franco greeted us at our first step out of our shuttle. His team grabbed our bags as he escorted to the front desk. We had 3 rooms booked and they were able to give us 2 of them adjoining. We had to wait a couple hours to check in but we got our bracelets, a quick tour and sat down for some lunch a few drinks while we waited! Smooth check in process! The service from housekeeping to bartenders to pool servers were all so friendly and fast! The pool food was great for snacking on. The breakfast buffet was decent with a good variety of choices. Drinks were mostly small unless you asked for a bigger glass, which was never an issue. All 3 of our rooms were pretty clean and housekeeping kept up with everything pretty well! The beach was a great spot for sunsets. Few vendors around but they weren’t too much of a bother. Not much of a swimming style beach due to how rough it was at the time we visited. The lobby bar was a good time in the evening with live music! All in all, we would definitely head back!
Club Regina Puerto Vallarta

Our stay has been an invitation to come back and come back, starting with customer service. A first class service from the person who receives you at the hotel and opens the door of the car where you arrive, the people who kindly attend you at the reception with a smile and an authentic sense of service, the porters who go out of their way to ask you for a taxi and help you load what you bring without being asked, and anyone who works in the hotel in the reception area is undoubtedly there to serve you with the best service disposition. Also in the pool area, and restaurants. The impeccable place, with an architectural beauty. Its spaciousness and distribution of both the hotel and the rooms welcome you. The fact of being an open place allows us to feel the weather, and the wind that blows is a very pleasant sensation. The decoration of the place is warm and tasteful, giving us a feeling of being ”at home”. The location of the place gives rise to going for a walk to the Marina, both day and night, with complete security, and all the places we went are very close, 5, 10, 15 minutes by car: Walmart, Shopping Centers , Malecon, Downtown, Restaurants, Maritime Terminal. The access to the beach is a delight, with unbeatable views of the sunset. We enjoy the extra activities that the stay at the hotel includes, and the fact that they are not invasive to our moments of being. The food is very good, and although the price is a bit high, it is worth staying **** at the hotel to eat. I want to close by congratulating the Customer Service program that the hotel has, since it is surely an administration that takes its time to train all the people who work there in this area. Customer service makes the difference in an experience, and that is what we look for when going on vacation, living pleasant and memorable experiences. Congratulations for your excellent service to all the people who work at Club Regina Puerto Vallarta!
Krystal Vallarta

We had the pleasure of staying at the Krystal Puerto Vallarta for the month of August 2022. The team was very accommodating from the moment we arrived. Lilian Lozano a front desk manager was simply outstanding and very accommodating to our needs. Our room was clean and modern with a great ocean view. Gabriela (Gabby) our cleaning lady, ensured our room was in great shape, with great pride and attention to detail and always with a great smile. The food was very good and tasty, eating at different  restaurants was a nice treat. The Manager of the restaurants,  Maricela  Hernandez was most welcoming and thoughtful, providing an experience that exceeded ou expectations and treating us to some delicacies at the end of our trip. The serving staff at the restaurants were great. Special mention goes to the following individuals for the great service and attention to us as clients: Alberto as from day one provide great service; Omar Becerra table Captain always leading by example; Rahul, Eduardo, Enrique, Hilda, Maria and Hugo always tending to our needs. Thank you for making our month visit wonderful and memorable. Until the next time....Hasta Luego Amigos Mexicanos Julio and John

Don’t believe any terrible reviews. We adore this resort. Visited mid January for the 2nd time. It was just as enjoyable as it had been in 2018 and we will definitely return next year! It’s nicely contained but not at all cramped. Very friendly and hardworking staff. Bartenders were always generous. Beach very swimmable. It’s actually much preferable to be at a more midsize resort with children and elderly. Also the 10 min trip from the airport is really convenient as opposed to the hour long journey with other places. Being situated right in town is convenient as one can cheaply cab around if desired. On the beach we purchased a boatride, hair braids, as well as horsebackriding from folks passing by and had a great time. There is also a huge supermarket a 5 min walk away with all kids of high quality clothes/sandals, souvenirs, and other household things if something comes up. One of the main pools is actually slightly heated (which we have not seen anywhere else, and we have been to many Mexican all-inclusives on both the east and west coasts) which makes a huge difference. Obtaining pool loungers was never an issue even midway through the afternoon. Sure the rooms need updating but we don’t spend much time in there anyway. Some people have mentioned issues with the kids pool (?broken tiles); my kids, as young as 2, had 0 issues. Bring a lifejacket/swimvest if the kid is under 4 or 5 as part of the kids pool is moderately deep. The a la carte restaurants probably leave something to be desired but we only went once with the 4 kids along. Buffet certainly had everything we wanted and the waitstaff were very enthusiastic and attentive. It’s very reasonably priced, but don’t discount this place. Highly anticipating returning in 2025!
