The Club at Sheraton Buganvilias

The resort is very nice, we come here often BUT here are the issues to be aware of. 1) Stairs going down in Ninetyt-Nine do not have a hand rail or anything to define where the next step is, they kind of blend in. I thought I was at the last step but wasn't so this caused me to fall and break my glasses. The resort is not very concerned about safety. I heard several people have fallen. 2) If you want a good place at the pool you need to go o=down at 5am to leave your tools. This is not enforced. I have seen towels placed on the lounge chairs when I get to the pool around 8am and those people get to the pool around noon. Very selfish. An easy fix would be to have people sign a form stating the pool rules and towels left on lounge chairs before 8am will be removed. This is to give everyone a fair opportunity. 3) If you like ice cream do not purchase at the resort. A pint costs $14 American!

We enjoyed our week at the Buganvilias Club. It was our first real opportunity to experience a bit of Puerto Vallarta. The first thing that struck me is how beautiful the property is. Everywhere you went, workers were shining up the place for our benefit. The pool areas are stunning. We had no problem getting a lounger and enjoying a quiet day. It isn't too often in my experience that every resort staff member treats you with a smile. In almost every case, we found the service caring and competent, and a joy to be around. Our room had a beautiful Oceanview. It was a very comfortable stay for a week. A few minor issues - our shower hand wand was broken - the rain shower faucet still worked fine. The water temperature regulation in our shower was poor. The Internet was very poor in the room. But very strong in the common areas. Two other notes. We were disappointed with some of our restaurant visits on the property. And the beach in front of the hotel is very rocky. Not one that we or anyone else wanted to spend time at. It was pretty deserted. Another plus would be the location. Compared to many other resorts, the Buganvilias Club walk to the Malecon is just a nice little hike. In summary, there was a lot to like about the Buganvilias Club resort in Puerto Vallarta. The only reason we might make another choice is if having a nice beach was a top priority.

I want to rave about our Housekeeper, Maria Ibal. We have been lucky enough to have her for a few years during our month long visit to beautiful Puerto Vallarta. Maria is the best there is! She is cheerful, efficient, hard working, and just delightful. A major asset for the Resort!Thank you Maria!!!❤️

For me a vacation resort is more than just the room, the view, the restaurants—it is the excellent customer experience starting with the staff. I especially want to mention the head concierge in the Club - Karina. She handled all questions and issues from the clients but more than that she sought you out to see if there was something more she could do for you. She arranged the details of a tour for me of the expansive garden areas by a female gardener Vicky. The next day she arranged for me to get an enlarged photo of the tour itself. They even arranged a wheelchair to transport me over the grounds and garden paths. The personnel at this vacation club are outstanding. Highly recommended.

nice rooms and friendly staff. very clean, the bars and restaurants were affordable. the pool was nice and the service at the pool side bar was amazing, zaydent was my waitress and she was the sweetest most hard working staff member.

I spend 4 months at the Club. I was lucky this year to have Angelica Guzman as the daily housekeeper. She arrived promptly at 11 dailuy and cleaned the room very well. In February, I fell in my room, injuring nerves and the knee on my left side. Angelica was very helpful; she fills my coffee pot and leaves the bowl and other items I needed for breakfast. She also gives me 2 ice packs from the freezer until an aide I hired arrives. The head housekeeper is also very accommodating. Any service I request is fulfilled within minutes, whether for the t.v. or changing the filters in my apartment. Manuel Barrigan, a porter, provides me with small bills, hard to get at the hotel and arranges for a wheelchair to be brought up when I need it. He also arranged for a walker in my room. Guillermo Urtiaga accommodated me when I needed to extend my stay for 2 more weeks. Karina, a concierge, spent a long time on the phone with UA, changing my flight for a later one in business class. She arranged for a wheelchair in P.V. and in Newark, got me an aisle seat and a special meal. An efficient and courteous staff has been an asset during my lengthy stay, 18 weeks, at the club.
