Reviews of BuBu Villa

I stayed at Bubu Villa for my family trip - with my wife and 2 teenagers. Bubu Villa is well located at the end of Long Beach and it is one of the best places to stay in Pulau Perhentian. The staffs were very friendly, facilities were well maintained, the food (both the breakfast and grill-dinner) were great as well. I would surely stay here again and I do recommend Bubu Villa to others who are looking for a premium place to stay in Pulau Perhentian.

Nice hotel , perfect location and friendly staff , the breakfast is amazing and the kitchen staff prepare whatever you want . The furniture of the rooms is old.

I wanna give some information about the garden villa and ocean villa, garden villa is way better than ocean villa , it has private yard, it’s a little far from the lobby for more privacy and peace, but ocean villa is near the restaurant and it’s not private, the residence of gardens villa should pass by ocean villas to get to their room and it’s not even beach front, it doesn’t have private yard so the guests couldn’t open the curtains and use the view 🫣it should be half price of garden villa but it’s more expensive 😑 the toilet and bathroom doesn’t have door but has view to garden. The stuff are great. 👍🏼 The food is the best in the island but totally is average. Snorkeling with firus was amazing.😝 Everything is perfect, I highly recommend this villa.🫶🏻

Superb hospitality from ALL the employees. They are all super friendly and helpful! Booked a Garden View room and it’s just perfect. Room and surrounding compound is spacious, quiet and peaceful. Though the food prices are quite expensive compared to the other stays. Location is located at the end of Long Beach and the crowd is lesser here too.

The room is large, with a courtyard, and a little bit of a Maldivian feel, but no hair dryer was found. The food is good, the taste is OK, the ingredients are fresh, and it is slightly more expensive than other nearby restaurants. The service is still quite enthusiastic, especially the on-demand food service staff for breakfast, who are very enthusiastic and proactively ask if there are any dishes that need to be ordered. Proactive service is precious and feels very good. However, the front desk service is perfunctory, seemingly enthusiastic but not solving the problem. After waiting for a long time, no one took the initiative to tell us that we can check in. We went to the front desk to ask, and a few chatty waitresses smiled and said that it was ok now. When we left, we missed the boat because the front desk arranged to wait for the water taxi. Obviously, we were very anxious and asked many times, but the front desk told us that there was no problem. The boat is often late. I asked them to call the shipping company to inform us that we have not boarded the boat yet, and I guess there was no communication. I was speechless. The service to customers should not be just superficial enthusiasm. I hope to really solve problems for guests instead of creating problems.

This resort is probably the best choice here at Perhentian. It's s kinda small and well integrated in the environment (not like some concrete monsters), and it's located on long beach, where you can find a lot of entertainment even in the evening. The beach is the beast part of long beach, with a wide part without boats where you can swim, see a lot of fish and many baby sharks. Rooms are wide and comfortable, service is good and staff super kind. Breakfast is very good, and even the restaurant is the best on the beach (and you don't risk to get intoxicated like in some places...). The happy hour with free cocktails scores the final point. I really had a good time here.

I just read old reviews and negative comments, and I guess things have changed since then coz our stag was amazing! Most expensive hotel in the island, but worth the location, the service, the food….. If anything could be improved? The wifi (lol, I know, on paradise island we should scroll and post.. 🤭) . Maybe improve the coziness of the bedroom. But it was all topped of by the gorgeousness of the shallow beach, the beauty of the main entrance, the free cocktail and snacks, the delicious F&B at all meals…. We did an island hoping thanks to a water taxi nearby…. It was fabulous! Come!

Overall a very nice experience, the beach is stunning, the rooms are nice and the food is excellent! 5 stars for the Chef Waqar, his breakfast is amazing! Try the pancakes :)

We’ve been here just for two nights but they were amazing. Amazing staff, Emma in particular, the food was surprisingly good from breakfast to dinner!! The beach is just in front of the villas with free sunbeds so all you need to do is RELAXING!

My stay at BuBu Villa was a truly relaxing and enjoyable experience. I stayed in the Garden Villa, which was clean, beautifully designed, and offered a great sense of privacy. The breakfast, prepared by chef Waqar, was fantastic – I especially recommend the Eggs Benedict and the French Toast. The overall food quality is excellent. While I would have loved to see a few more traditional local dishes on the menu, everything that was offered tasted amazing. The entire staff, from the gardeners to the security team, were warm, friendly, and always willing to help. A special thanks to Emma and Ching at the reception for their kindness and lovely conversations – they really added a personal touch to my stay. The beach in front of the villa is clean and well-maintained, with plenty of loungers available. The bay itself is lively and vibrant, with lots going on. I highly recommend joining a snorkeling or diving trip – there are many operators offering tours right along the beach. One suggestion for the future: shifting more towards solar energy instead of relying on diesel generators would be a great step for sustainability. All in all, BuBu Villa is a wonderful place to unwind with great service, delicious food, and a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended!
