This was a huge surprise. Our tour guide in the UK happened to be Argentinian and she advised us to stay in Purmamarca to avoid a 3 hour drive back to Salta followed by a 3 hour drive back the next day. This was very good advice. Purmamarca is a very quaint traditional village with adobe style houses. I did not expect the luxury of this lovely hotel. Our lodge was comfortable with a bedroom, living room with 2 beds and a small kitchen. There is a spa and swimming pool- the only one so far in Argentina which was heated. The restaurant service is very good and the food is very high quality. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. If you happen to have two trips booked from Salta to the north don’t waste time travelling back to Salta. Stay in this wonderful hotel and spend the time you save on an uncomfortable bus journey in the restaurant , the pool, the spa, the gardens or the wonderful artisan market in the centre of the village. You won’t regret it. It is absolutely delightful.

I enjoyed my stay at La Comarca in Jujuy - it is picturesque and has a very pretty dining area with good food. The location is convenient - you can walk into town to eat at some nice local restaurants, and it is easy to drive to other spots in Jujuy. The staff were friendly and accomodating, though don't expect to find a lot of English-speakers if you do not speak some Spanish. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it. I will mention that the rooms are aging a bit and certain elements could use an upgrade - like the towels, for example, are thin and not soft. However, this may be typical for the general location as Jujuy is not a massive tourist destination (certainly for people traveling from outside of Argentina) and is somewhat impoverished relative to other provinces. Also, I must mention that I left a tip for the cleaning staff in my room when I left, and about 2 hrs later received a call telling me I had left money behand and how could they get it to me! That is some extreme honesty!

A little nervous after reading the previews reviews but turned out to be a really super little place. Our room was exceptional clean, the sheets crisp, the bed was alttle soft but my partner and myself had one of the best nights sleep we have had in Argentina. Bathroom large and well fitted. Double spa bath and excellent water pressure and hot water. We have had issues with the internet at other hotels and this was the best we have had, which surprised us given the location. Our room had a TV and while the channel’s available was small it’s the only place we had the option to change the language to English. We eat in the restaurant as we couldn’t be bothered to go into the town and the meal was good. I had the Llama pie, a bit little like an English Shepard pie, which was tasty but my partner ordered steak which was large and well cooked (med) . Value for money the best on the menu I think. Full wine, beer and cocktails available. I know I sound a bit like an advert for theses guys but we where both so pleased with our stay. Would recommend.

Bed is of very poor quality, you can feel every movement of your partner besides you. And is noisy when you get out of the bed to the restroom. Reception seems to be well known of their poor attitude. The older guy is better. The younger reception won the most grouchy man of the year. Breakfast staff are all very nice and helpful. It seems to be trend so far in the hotels I've stayed here in Salta. Reception needs more training than the breakfast room. Hot shower was not turn on when we check in, and whatever queries you've when you reach the reception. They will try not to understand too much and said he'll send someone over and you'll have to explain to them again. The Double Cottage I booked has stairs leading to master bedroom and toilet. The stairs my god is scary. Definitely not suitable for old people or unfit people. Breakfast opens at 730am. No eggs and when I want to pay for them, they said they don't have or can't understand my Google translate app. We like the outdoor resto area, that's their bright spot. Overall, we'll never be back here again, my gf stayed 2km from me, even though is a family run hostel, her room looks great! Shower is brilliant. Owner is so nice to ensure they make her early dinner and early breakfast as we need to start our hike early every morning. And it cost half what we're paying here.

The hotel is situated outside the centre about 1km from the main square. The outside and it's overall location is good. The rooms are touch and go. We were given a room which was comparable to a seedy US roadside motel and I've plenty of photographic evidence to support that. After much aggravation we were given a fare better (clean room). The original room should have been taken off the market. Breakfast is basic. Overall this is a property much in need of refurbishment and some customers service training too as Reception is especially unhelpful.

We were dropped hear for our tour company for a pre-booked lunch. We asked for still water and menus on arrival. After 30 minutes neither had arrived. Asking staff for either produced brush-offs that were dismissive to the point of rudeness. We left.

This hotel is a beautiful location with gorgeous views but the property itself is very run down and in need of maintenance. We stayed in a cabin/cabina that had two beds in the living room and a bedroom upstairs. The two beds in the living room weren't conducive to using the room and it was really cramped. Previous repairs appear to be down with whatever material was available so nothing blends or matches - patches are very visible. There were several small windows in the living room that were blocked with cardboard - some were broken. We stayed two nights and the last morning we did not have hot water or internet - not too concerned about the internet but I do prefer a warm shower.

It’s a FRAUD, be careful! Don’t recommend it at all, the service is the worst, specially the guy at the desk, at the check in he was so rude, I don’t know if is because I am Asian, so he was racist and super rude, but anyways… At the check out, they charged us for a 4 people room, even though, in our booking it is written for 3 adults only. We came to celebrate Christmas with family, it was supposed to be a nice and happy experience. It was such a pity, that they had to ruin our mood.

The communal areas, particularly the pool, are comfortable and well maintained. The hotel is peaceful and in a quiet location (about 15-20 minutes walk into the town of Purmamarca, downhill on the way uphill on the way back). However our room was small and in a state of disrepair. The ceiling fan didn’t work, the furniture floor and walls were all scuffed and scratched. The bathroom was in poor condition with broken tiles and a damp ceiling. The food in the restaurant was ok but not the best we had in Argentina. Breakfast was fine but a limited choice / few options. Finally, the staff were cold and unfriendly and we didn’t feel very welcome. When our son fell and broke his collarbone the staff eventually called us a taxi to the nearest doctor (at our insistence) but we just felt like an inconvenience rather than paying guests. We were disappointed and felt this hotel really needed more love and care to bring it back up to scratch.
