I enjoyed staying at James Joyce Coffetel. The room was clean and spacious. The advertised “sea-view” is only a partial sea view, but still a great view to see. There are some renovations going on and lots of drilling and building noises will affect your routine if you like sleeping in late or taking afternoon naps. Thank you for the good service!

The location is good and we are happy to have a room with sea view. The breakfast was served cold and we were relieved to have a cup of hot coffee at the front desk. The AC was not working properly only provided heating.

This was a great choice for my hotel stay in Qingdao. First of all, the personnel was very kind to check me in before the official check-in time. It was very valuable after an early morning train journey. Unfortunately, initially, I did not have the room which I would expect - it had a room, but with the view over some technical corridor with no daylight. I appreciate that the staff listened to my concerns and gave me a new room with a fantastic view instead! The room was sparklingly clean. It had everything needed for a perfect stay. The hotel's location is also perfect - a short walk away from the railway station.

The bathroom has two transparent glass windows + curtains. There is a high-rise building opposite. You have to pull up the curtains to use water, but the shower room is also a small triangular structure. The shower head is close to the wall near the window. When the curtains are pulled up, it is difficult to get the shower head up and down, which is very inconvenient to use water. The curtains in the shower room are still floor-standing, floating while using water. The overall feeling of taking a shower is very poor. It may be to allow guests to take a quick shower without wasting water resources... The room is also quite small. The aisle between the bed and the TV can only accommodate one person, and the entrance is very spacious like a living room. Maybe it's because the room is triangular... The sound insulation is quite poor, and the normal voices of the neighbors can be heard clearly... Hygiene: It is quite clean overall. Even if you stay, they will come to tidy it up a little every day, but! The bedding is not good... The weather in late October and early November was only central air conditioning, and it was hot air... Qingdao was more than 20 degrees during the day and 13 or 14 degrees at night. Is hot air conditioning really necessary? I didn't know on the first day of check-in, and I was very confused about why the room temperature was getting higher and higher. I called the front desk to tell me... The room signal was not good, and wifi was provided. The password was on the back of the room card shell, and I called the front desk to tell me, but after entering the password, it said that it could not be connected.
