This year marks our 8th wedding anniversary, and to make this special occasion unforgettable, we chose a highly-rated suite at The Westin Qingdao. From the moment we stepped into the lobby, we were enveloped in thoughtful and attentive service. The check-in process at the front desk was extremely efficient. Learning that it was our anniversary, the staff thoughtfully prepared welcome fruits and a small cake—such a perfect touch of detail! The suite was very spacious, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering breathtaking views of May Fourth Square and the ocean. The night view, in particular, was wildly romantic. The room decor struck a lovely balance between cozy and modern, the bedding was soft and comfortable, and the bathroom was fully equipped. Soaking in the bathtub was a great way to unwind. The hotel's service truly deserves praise. Whether it was the concierge or housekeeping, responses were prompt and attitudes were warm and friendly. We also checked out the afternoon tea at the executive lounge; the food was exquisite and the ambiance was quiet and relaxing, making it an ideal spot for couples to chill.

We arrived with quite a lot of luggage, and the moment we stepped into the lobby, the front desk staff noticed. Their tone was exceptionally warm and genuine, not sounding like rehearsed script at all. The check-in process was well-organized; they proactively informed us about breakfast times and hotel amenities, and even shared some handy local travel tips. It was all very thoughtful. Throughout our stay, whenever we had questions, the staff would attentively listen to the end before responding. Whenever we needed to coordinate with other departments, the front desk took care of liaising and following up, sparing us from running around or making calls back and forth, which saved us so much hassle. Even when the lobby was busy and crowded, the team remained calm and methodical without showing any impatience, maintaining a consistently wonderful attitude. Check-out was equally smooth and fast. They casually asked about our stay and genuinely wanted to hear our honest feedback. The service from housekeeping and other departments was also top-notch; every employee we passed in the hallways greeted us politely. As the very first point of contact upon entering, the front desk truly demonstrated that they have the guests' best interests at heart, anticipating needs before they even arise. The entire stay was carefree and deeply comfortable. Highly recommended, and I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I'm in town!

We had a wonderful stay! Matt provided attentive and thoughtful service. The hotel is in a prime downtown location, right by Exit E of the May Fourth Square subway station, making it very easy to get around. We were a group of six traveling over the Golden Week holiday and booked three rooms in total. We contacted the front desk in advance to request that our rooms be on the same floor. Despite the hotel being fully booked for the holiday, The Westin went above and beyond to accommodate us—including flexibly upgrading one of our deluxe suites to a studio suite with partial sea views on the same floor. We were thoroughly impressed! The front desk staff, restaurant crew, and housekeeping team were all warm, welcoming, and greeted us with smiles throughout our stay. They even sent complimentary local Qingdao specialty drinks to our rooms, truly living up to 5-star standards. The swimming pool was not crowded at all; the water temperature was comfortable, and there were several warm whirlpools—perfect for an evening workout or just unwinding. The breakfast buffet was decent: the dining area was spacious, and seating was well-organized. However, given the price point, it would have been even better if there were more pastry and dessert options.

The age of a hotel isn't the main issue; cleanliness and hygiene are paramount. This stay was a world apart from my visit 8 years ago. The bathroom tile grout was completely covered in mold, which caused an unpleasant odor to waft from the bathroom side of the room while I was sleeping. The carpet was old and worn, with a distinct stale smell. During the National Day holiday, the hotel was crowded, and buckwheat pillows were not provided. Given that it was a peak period, they should have been better prepared, especially considering the price of over 2000 yuan during the holiday. The hotel's buffet was very, very mediocre. The advantages are its excellent location and the staff's service awareness; when I mentioned I wasn't feeling well, they promptly called to ask if I needed assistance. Overall, I hope the hotel updates its environment soon and I look forward to a new experience on my next stay.

The room was very spacious, and the bed was perfect for a family of three. The bedding was comfortable. We weren't informed about the special lunch and dinner coupons when checking in, so we missed out on the buffet this time. We didn't try breakfast, but we did have dinner at the Chinese restaurant, and the food was decent. We took the kids to the swimming pool, which was nice. The Line 8 subway goes directly to the concert venue, so public transportation was very convenient.

I've stayed at the Westin Qingdao multiple times. Its location is excellent, right next to the May Fourth Square subway station and MixC Mall. Check-in is on the 5th floor, and it has its own underground parking. The only downsides are that you have to register your license plate 15 minutes before leaving, and re-register it every time you enter and exit. Also, checking out during peak hours can involve a long wait.

The room was very nice. We originally only had one breakfast voucher, but they later upgraded it to two for us—a big thank you to Trip.com customer service! Qingdao is right by the sea, and the city's environment and air quality are simply unbeatable.

Very good. I reserved a sea-view room by phone. I had to wait a bit for the room to be cleaned when I arrived at 3 PM. Although the facilities are a bit old, they are well-maintained and clean.

My stay at the Westin Qingdao was perfect! The location is fantastic, directly opposite MixC shopping mall, and only a ten-minute walk to May Fourth Square. The high-floor rooms offer floor-to-ceiling windows with stunning views of Fushan Bay, and the night view is absolutely beautiful. The Heavenly Bed was incredibly soft and comfortable, and the room was clean and quiet. The high-altitude heated swimming pool is great for photos, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of both Chinese and Western options. The front desk service was attentive and efficient. It's convenient for both sightseeing and shopping, making it my top choice for a vacation in Qingdao. I'll definitely stay here again next time!
