Qinghe Xinhai International Hotel

Traveling along National Highway 331, I passed through Takshken, a small border town. This was probably the best hotel in town. The rooms were quite large. The conditions were decent. Very good.

The ladies at the reception were very friendly and helped us order a shared taxi. There are restaurants and shops right next to the hotel. The hotel itself is a bit dated, but the beds were comfortable.

I have never stayed in such a bad hotel. I came to the port to take a walk and booked such a hotel at night. I didn't think it would be good, but it was really bad. First, there was no elevator. The Mongolian driver didn't live on the first floor with us and arranged it on the third floor. It was dirty and messy inside... Second, there was a lot of noise in the corridor at 3 o'clock in the evening, and the drunk driver was arguing... Third, there was a smell in the hotel room. I didn't know what it was. I could only open the window all night. When I left, I threw away the bed sheets. I really won't go there again. The only consolation is that the hotel staff is very good, but really...

The room really has a sense of age and is in a state of disrepair. The bathroom and wash basin are also very shabby. It feels like it is in urgent need of renovation and upgrading. Otherwise, it will be difficult to adapt to the travel needs of modern people. Of course, most of the people here are Mongolian international freight drivers. The main reason is the price. It's cheap and not picky, but who doesn't want to stay in a new and good hotel with good equipment and facilities. The two Kazakh girls serving at the front desk are quite prompt and neat, and they get along well with each other.
