Jiuhuashan Yuanhang Hotel

For my trip to Jiuhuashan, I stayed on the mountain the first night. For the second night, I planned to just find an average hotel to crash in after a long day of sightseeing and then leave. To my surprise, this hotel was a real gem! The room was big and spotless, and I could see the Grand Buddha right from my window. The hotel has a huge backyard, which was lovely for an early morning stroll. It's about a kilometer from Gate 4 of the Dayuan Cultural Park, and we just walked there.

I chose this hotel after being captivated by the scenery and environment shown in the videos and photos on Ctrip. Initially, I added a staff member on WeChat and asked for a real-time video, but it might have been busy at 9 PM, as neither of the two staff members responded. Later, I called and added another front desk staff member named Xiao Ding on WeChat (I must say, I'm quite persistent!). Xiao Ding didn't hesitate, went straight to the room, filmed a video for me, and even made a video call, showing me around from the second floor to the first. After seeing it, I immediately placed an order on Ctrip and booked the room. After checking in, we went to the restaurant for dinner. Comrade Li Baijuan served us. Seeing that there weren't many people in the restaurant, I was worried the food wouldn't be good and considered going out to eat instead. Baijuan saw our hesitation but showed no displeasure, serving us with a smile throughout and explaining the restaurant's specialties. Ultimately, we stayed because of Baijuan's excellent service. After eating, I realized that honest people are truly honest and don't lie or exaggerate – the restaurant's food was indeed delicious. At the same time, Xu Mudan, who was in charge of our private room, was so worried we wouldn't eat enough that she gave us so much rice, along with a fruit platter. The restaurant's breakfast was also very good, and I particularly enjoyed the unique fermented tofu there, wanting to buy two bottles to take home. When we went to the restaurant for dinner that evening, Xu Mudan directly gave us two bottles, saying they were free. I can't help but admire how well their internal communication and teamwork are – it was very touching. Also, a big thank you to Sister Sun from housekeeping. My child's pants got completely dirty after climbing Jiuhua Mountain and coming down from Tiantai Temple. I called the front desk to ask if the laundry service could wash them, but they said there would be a charge. After seeing the pants, Sister Sun immediately said they would wash them for free. And to avoid delaying our itinerary, she got them washed and dried within about three hours and then delivered them to our room. We are truly grateful. Additionally, I'd like to mention that this hotel, built in 2017 and located by the lake, should theoretically show signs of dampness over the years, such as wood cracking or wallpaper peeling. However, in reality, every piece of solid wood furniture, though slightly dated, shows no cracks in the guest rooms or restaurant, nor any peeling wallpaper. This shows that the owner absolutely did not cut corners during the initial renovation and put a lot of thought into it. The solid craftsmanship of the wood is also commendable. The owner must be a very reliable person, which is why everyone, from top to bottom, works so hard. Thank you again for your thoughtful service. If we have the chance to return, we will definitely choose this place again.

Many years ago, when it was still called Junlan, I stayed here with my family. Now, many years later, I'm back with a few friends. Time flies! The hotel has a beautiful environment, it's quiet yet centrally located, and the breakfast is great. The facilities are a bit old, though. Looking forward to my next visit!

Absolutely loved it! My room offered a view of the bronze statue of Ksitigarbha Bodhisattva, which was so peaceful to look at both before bed and upon waking. There are plenty of restaurants nearby, just a few minutes' walk away. I slept soundly and ate really well. Absolutely fantastic!

Standing under the hotel's main entrance canopy, you get a direct view of the Jizo Bodhisattva in the distance – a truly impressive sight. I was in such a hurry that I left my insulated bag in the mini-fridge, but the butler thoughtfully couriered it back to me.

This is my go-to place every year. It always has such a peaceful and tranquil vibe, especially at night – I drift off to sleep as soon as I lie down. It truly feels like a blessing. Though it's never overly crowded, the service quality is better than even many five-star hotels. And it's impeccably clean. The hotel's dining options are also excellent, so there's usually no need to venture out for meals.

This is a charming and meticulously kept courtyard guesthouse. The owners and their family are incredibly hospitable, and the service is exceptional. They readily offer pick-up and drop-off services whenever needed. The place is spotlessly clean. Dinner in the courtyard was incredibly enjoyable, followed by several delightful rounds of tea. This trip to Jiuhua was truly perfect. Many thanks to the owners; we'll definitely be back!

I chose the family room at Yuanhang Hotel based on Ctrip reviews and its proximity to the Cultural Park. The room itself was decent. However, the hotel seemed to have very few guests, resulting in no air conditioning in common areas like the lobby and corridors. It was sweltering hot the moment you stepped out of your room. Additionally, our room was quite a distance from the elevator, and we'd be drenched in sweat just walking there. While I can understand conserving electricity due to low occupancy, the entire hotel felt deserted. Breakfast was also very subpar, with one of the salted duck eggs even being spoiled. The only redeeming quality was the Chinese restaurant, which offered good food and generous portions. Despite the staff being very friendly, the overall state of the hotel's facilities severely impacted our stay, making for an unpleasant experience. I had initially hoped to walk to the Cultural Park, but it was too hot, so we ended up taking a taxi for a flat rate of 10 RMB. This effectively negated the benefit of the hotel's location for walking. I believe this hotel might be more suitable for guests visiting Mount Jiuhua who prioritize being close to the visitor center.
