After spending two nights in a poorly managed hostel, I felt like I was in heaven here. I could definitely tell the difference between a well-maintained place and a good one. Friendly reception, hot showers, and the location, close to many attractions, were great. ❤️🩹

Rustic vibe Loved the hostel. Has the historic rustic vibe. Have daily events and walking tour on board schedule. In or around the old historic town. Not walking distance from your typical Holiday Inn and restaurants but closer to the typical Ecuadorian life style and food. Its like a maze inside the hostel with creaking wood floor.

Very nice hostel Very nice hostel. Great staff, very clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi was very slow but not uncommon from other places I've stayed. Hot showers with lots of pressure was very nice too.

Great! Most of it was top quality! The only thing is that it can be quite noisy from music later in the evening from the bar and early in the morning from the restaurant.

Inside of Viajero is lovely. They have a great courtyard, bar, restaurant, etc. My room was very spacious and comfortable. I had a great stay. I was the victim of an attempted mugging immediately outside of the hostel. It was 7:30pm on a Friday and I was about 10 steps away from the door when a man grabbed me and tried to take my phone. I fought him away but I strongly suspect I was targeted for having stayed at Viajero. I was not told to be cautious or warned at all when I checked in and from talking to other guests I think they really need to be doing that!
