The hotel is very clean and well maintained. The receptionists are friendly and professional, always ready to help. The animation team is a bit shy to invite you to activities unless you are Italian. If you are not shy, you can join them yourself, but I felt they didn’t take much extra care of us. A few of them even seemed a bit unpleasant when we wanted to join bingo. Food is good, though we expected more seafood and freshness given the location. Drinks were good as well. One important note: on the last day, we discovered that €100 was missing from our room. We reported it at reception and filled out a form, but we had to leave before it was resolved. I don’t want to blame anyone, but I strongly recommend using the safe in the room to avoid this kind of situation. Overall, it was a nice stay with a few points that could be improved. **Upgrade:** I am really disappointed with the management of this hotel. We’ve been trying to get some closure regarding the missing money, but they just keep brushing us off, only repeating that the money should have been kept in the safe. I’m not ignorant — I know that. I simply want to understand if they’ve reached any closure or taken any responsibility. I don’t even care about the stolen money anymore; what matters to me is how they treat their guests in what’s supposed to be a five-star hotel. It’s extremely disrespectful. I also want to make it clear that I’m not blaming the hotel staff — they were very kind and did their best. The issue is with the upper management, whose behavior has been completely unprofesional. The resort has got a big potential which is not at all used. It's located on a fantastic and big beach but that's the best part. The beach is actually far away and the wifi doesn't get there. The room is spacious but not at all a standard of a 5 star hotel: the bed is not that comfortable as well as pillows, towels are comparable to a 3 star and the cleaning is basic, a few times I had to ask for towels not replaced. The food is ok but there is a big lack of fruits and many things were not cooked enough. There are no small tables where to put drinks and stuff next to sun beds and umbrellas. They were not able to find me somebody to play tennis with not they have somebody who can play or teach tennis. It's nice that you can have drinks and food at any time and what i found great is the view from the resort. Not sure if I'll ever go back for that price unless they improve many things. Not bad but to improve for the luxury of the Rooms; old towels for bathroom and beach. Frigo bar not working correctly and curtains were dirty. Food experience top and also the beach. Perfect to family relax and for spending lazy time. Boa Vista is a beautiful discovery in no stress contest and lovely citizens always happy.

We had a poor experience from the reception staff, few of them speaking good English. When we arrived in the room, it looked tired and in need of a revamp. The curtains had holes in them, the toilet needed two hands to press the flush button. The TV didn’t work and the phone wasn’t connected. The bar staff were dismissive of us, we were in the minority, staff struggled to understand our requests, and at times appeared rude. Getting simple drinks needed Google translate. The staff generally looked unhappy and irritable. Staff in the dining areas didn’t engage, there was complete lack of social smiling, despite greeting them courteously. The Animation Team however, were spectacular, putting on evening shows that were high energy and entertaining. In summary, it was great to have a winter week away. The beach is fabulous, but it was persistently windy and the red flag was flown all week. We found a beautiful beach bar further down the beach, at the tall chimney, where sunbeds could be rented for the day for 5€ each, it was sheltered and offered a truly person centred experience akin to a Caribbean feel. The walk was breathtaking, the food was beautiful. Sitting inside offered a chilled atmosphere. It would have been helpful to see a TUI rep at some point. Other guests had access to their reps.

Location is wonderful with exceptional beach views. Rooms adequate not aligned to the star rating though. Atmosphere is 1990’s Ibiza with non stop pounding music around the pool and bar areas. Often with two competing thumping beats at the same time , so even if you recognised the tune it’s washed out by another. Measured the peak beats at 85-90Db which would required ear defenders in a work setting. So a quiet swim, snooze by the pool or conversation is impossible. The pools are all next to each other so there really is no quiet and relaxing space to sit. You can get a small break during the lunch period and the hottest part of the day. If you are 25 and want a party vibe until 23:00 this is your place. Most of the guests are not in this demographic however.

We stayed twice at this hotel. This is just wow, especially the staff. After 3 years almost everyone remembers us. Cleanliness - outstanding F&B - outstanding with local and regular beverages Food - outstanding I remember only one name - Alexandra, which is super helpful and pleasant lady. Always made our days special. Great animation team with water polo (I miss it). Highly recommend and we will definitely come back. WiFi works perfectly around the entire property.

Our experiece was pretty odd and the Bravo management did zero to help, in particular at our return in Italy. Rooms are dated and basic which could be fine cinsidering Capoverde. Our room was way over being dated and basic. it was falling apart. It had several problems due to lack of revovation and maintenance. Managing staff is not helpful (most of the time they are more in vacation than you). Some of the issue were related to safety and use of the room. We were travelling with kids and power points were detacching from the wall. For bravo club it wasn't an issue as the pieces of the bed missing - my son was sleeping on it! The main door didn't close well and with the wind it was slamming all the time. the wardrobe was falling apart, there was a leek from the toilet, lamps full of bugs or falling from the wall, bed sheets broken and this is a short list. For the Bravo Club - even after having contacted them upon returning to Italy - everything was not a problem and falls within their standards- This club is absolutely not worth at all money that they ask for, the price is not cohesive with the quality. It is overrated and very expensive for what they offer. Be very careful when you book with them ** La nostra esperienza è stata pessima, e la direzione del Bravo non ha fatto nulla per aiutarci, soprattutto al nostro ritorno in Italia. Le camere sono vecchie ed essenziali, il che potrebbe è accettabile considerando Capoverde. La nostra camera era decisamente troppo datata. Stava cadendo a pezzi. Aveva diversi problemi dovuti alla mancanza di ristrutturazione e manutenzione. Il management non è d'aiuto - il più delle volte sono più in vacanza di voi. Alcuni dei problemi erano legati alla sicurezza e all'uso della camera. Viaggiavamo con bambini e le prese di corrente si staccavano dal muro, mancavano i pezzi del letto - mio figlio ci dormiva sopra! La porta principale non si chiudeva bene e con il vento sbatteva continuamente. L'armadio cadeva a pezzi, c'era una perdita dal water, le applique erano piene di insetti o cadevano dal muro, le lenzuola erano rotte e questo è solo un breve elenco. Per il Bravo Club - anche dopo averli contattati al rientro in Italia - tutto ciò non è un problema e rientra nei loro standard. Questo club non vale assolutamente il prezzo richiesto, il prezzo non è coerente con la qualità. È sopravvalutato e molto costoso per quello che offre. Fate molta attenzione a prenotare.

Amazing staff – two thumbs up! I had a lovely stay from beginning to end. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was vibrant, and everything was well taken care of. A special thank you to Gloria and the whole team for bringing so much energy and fun through all the animation . And a big thank you to Nuno Silva for your professionalism, constant smile, and warm presence throughout our stay. A truly lovely holiday. I’d happily return!

I don't understand how this hotel is still open. Dirty rooms, towels both pool and room have been a couple of seasons too long. Food hygiene was a disgrace, chefs using the same utensil on cooked and raw chicken. This resulted in myself and my son having sickness and diarrhea for 3 days. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, they must have had a competition to see who could be the least helpful. I never ever complain or write reviews, this place is so bad I have written this review. If you have booked this dump cancel and take the hit on the loss. Beware this is no joke the worst place I have ever been

The hotel is predominantly Italian people, I was I think the only English person! However the staff are friendly and the location fabulous! A short walk to the fabulous beach (uphill on the way back) but not that strenuous. Rooms are basic but good they have everything you need and it was quiet. Pool area is lovely and clean. Nighttime entertainment is low key it’s a place to relax. Food is plentiful and of a good standard. Overall a pleasant stay.

This hotel has the most amazing beach and friendliest and most helpful local staff working there. However…having just returned from what was supposed to be a once in a lifetime Honeymoon stay in a 5* hotel we are very disappointed and let down after spending nearly £4000 for what really is no more than a 3* tops hotel. Like previous reviews, English speakers are not catered for when it comes to information services; of the piles of files in reception not one has an English translation. The rooms have no amenities other than an empty fridge with mould on the element, an empty bottle which you can walk to fill with water for your room; it holds 3 glasses! Not ideal! Having to walk to reception and wake staff for tea or coffee in the early hours was a pain to all. The bathroom was dated with leaks, cracked shower tray and intermittent hot water. The TV was hit and miss if it was going to work, as was the WiFi and the balcony furniture (plastic table and two chairs) had seen better days. Our bedding was changed during our stay, but it was one set full of holes to another full of holes. The paving by the pool area is worn and broken in places. The place was filled with cats the first week; some needing some medical care, then worryingly our second week as more guests started arriving most of the cats disappeared! There are too few sun beds on the beach even when the hotel is not busy and although there is a sign saying not to reserve the beds or staff will remove your items for other guests, they didn’t. We booked through Love Holidays who we will make a formal complaint to as being sold a 5* honeymoon when it clearly isn’t is just unfair and wrong. Compared to other hotels on the island this hotel is 2-3 *

We are in the resort now. Celebrating my husbands 60th birthday. Our room is nice, spotless, cleaned to high standard every day. You can ask for tea making supplies if you want them in your room. We are furthest from reception and pool areas so nice and quiet and it’s a nice enough walk. Paths are swept every morning, underneath the sun loungers could do with sweeping daily too. There are plenty of sun loungers and no need to rush to put your towels out but some still do! Public areas and facilities are clean and tidy. The coffee machines in the dining area are a bit unreliable. There’s some chipped crockery and the plates are cold. Food is plentiful, lots of choice however as with all buffet style meals food is not as hot as we like. Drinks in the bar areas are very good, no complaints. Most of the staff are very pleasant and accommodating. One or two appear to be less so and some need to smarten up to create a good impression. 2 staff members we found sleeping on sofas in the reception during their night shift. This does not create a 5 star impression. UK visitors are definitely a tiny minority of the hotel but we feel our needs have been accommodated. We are enjoying our stay and this is our honest opinion.

This is not a 5 star resort. Although it was very clean & tidy, the rooms are dated, no tea/coffee facilities or little extras that I would expect at the least of a 3 star i.e. toiletries etc. Mini bar was not stocked which meant if you wanted to have a drink in the room, you had to keep going back & forth to the bar! Also not really suitable to those with mobility issues as this hotel resort is rather undulating and there are quite a few steps, especially if you want to visit the beach. While the food & drink are plentiful, the quality leaves a little bit to be desired. This particular hotel is mainly geared up for Italian guests therefore there is a dedicated Italian food selection although I have to say I've never had pizza like this in Italy! For first time visitors to Cape Verde, there is no access to a supermarket/shops to speak of. We took a taxi into Sal Rei where we were greeted by a local who promptly led us to the ATM and then his shop. Food outside of the resorts is also of dubious quality. All in all, if you want wall to wall sunshine and don't really want to venture out at all then this is the place for you. We would not return.

The resort itself is very nice. But the thumping music starting at nine in the morning until God knows what time was not nice whatsoever. The staff were very accommodating indeed and the food was more than adequate however, I would not return even if it was free.

Two single beds which you can't connect. Not romantic as fall down the hole in the middle. Rooms are very dated with zero facilities. Food - variety good. Flies a significant problem. Quality of the food went downhill as week went on, with a lot of potentially nice fish dramatically overcooked. Coffee only at breakfast in restaurant. Rest of the time you have to get one at the bars. No tea / Coffee/ kettle in room which was very annoying Hotel spread out so little walk to some rooms Disabled accessibility is good even to the beach Friendly staff and locals in town Overly persistent entertainment staff Family hotel not adult only so don't come here for peace and quiet Nice pools and facilities. Clean Entertainment questionable in the evening although last night quite good. Rest of week male singer not to our taste but others might like. Just 'you pay 35 euros tourist tax' Maybe another hotel on the same beach would have been a lot better. Lastly, we bought supposedly required visas but no one asked for them! Waste of £60!!!
