The hotel was absolutely great, very friendly staff and very clean. The room we booked had everything we required, clean towels daily, topped up water everyday, topped up tea & coffee items. The room had decent size balcony to sit and look at the lovely view of Lake Garda, a busy waterway with daily ferries, small boats and paddlers. The gardens and pool area were tidied everyday. Towels provided for sun loungers everyday. There is amply seating areas in the gardens and bar area to sit and relax. Breakfast had great selection everyday including cooked items. Fine dining was served in the evening, we did not eat at lunchtime however our friends said good choice. The hotel was situated within easy walking of Salo town, which had beautiful esplande to enjoy and plenty of seats to sit and admire the view. We would definately reccomend this lovely hotel and look forward to a return in the near future. Thank you Hotel Salo du Park for a great stay

Look no further, because this boutique hotel is excellent. Its location is unbeatable (400 m way from Scaliger Castle) and the private beach is such a welcome feature. The hotel’s interiors and grounds are both manicured and beautiful. Rooms are super clean and spacious (we stayed in junior suite with a lake front). Beds and pillows are very comfortable. The views of the Lake Garda are so therapeutic. They would nurture your soul, while the thermal water pool (temp. 27 C) would rejuvenate your body. Add a 7-day Spa treatment into the mix, as we did, and you would be one relaxed and happy person. Service is top-notch. Nothing is a problem or a bother for the hotel’s personnel. Gloria, Francesca, Sofia, Gerardo and Alessandro, to name but a few, would resolve any of your requests/concerns with a genuine appreciation that you are on vacation and there to relax. Speaking of relaxation - this is an adult-only hotel. Patrons are sophisticated, private and pleasant. In short, this hotel, its staff and their hospitality may “ruin” other hotels for you. We booked directly through the hotel's website. When we arrived there, we were informed that the facility consists of two complexes. Once from the apartments/hotel rooms directly at the reception and across the street there is another apartment complex (also with a pool). Everything is clean from the outside. Then we got our apartment and were shocked. The apartment was totally shabby and dirty (shower head holder about to break and rusted, mold in the shower, dirty furniture, the sofa bed with a mattress about 5 cm thick and with steel springs in the back every night, etc.). Not even close to the 4 stars from the website, more like the 90s. When we reported this to the hotel owner, we learned that most of the apartments in the second complex do not belong to the hotel, but to private owners and are only available through the hotel. There was no mention of this when booking. So you can be surprised whether you get a clean, well-kept and modern apartment or not. However, the hotel owner also confirmed to us that only the photos of the hotel's nicer apartments are shown on the Internet. After we spoke to the hotel owner a second time and told him that we wouldn't have booked this apartment for half the price, he offered us a change of apartment for the last night; we couldn't do it earlier because nothing was available. He also offered to refund part of the price, but we are still waiting for that. Because the apartments in the second complex are mostly privately owned by Italians, they reserve the pool loungers with towels in the morning and you only have the choice of getting up early and making the reservation yourself or walking to the hotel and swimming at the pool . Although early is relative, the pool can unfortunately only be used from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. The air conditioning also smelled, even after long periods of operation. The furniture and the whole room were dirty and there was no vacuum cleaner. There weren't enough cutlery and crockery, not even for 4 people. Mold in the coffee maker. Cleaning and towels were only changed once during a week's stay, and that only after 5 days. The staff was very friendly and polite! The place is relatively quiet and you can walk to the beach in 10 minutes. There's not much more going on there. We would choose a slightly busier location in the future.

Abbiamo soggiornato una notte in questo hotel. La stanza era pulita ma come già sottolineato in una recensione di maggio 2023, ”mancano alcune accortezze di un hotel 4 stelle che dovrebbero essere scontate” (i.e in bagno non c'è nessun bicchiere, porta spazzolino, salviette, fazzoletti etc...). In questo periodo, inoltre, stanno facendo dei lavori, quindi una volta fatto il check-in, dopo pranzo (ore 15 pomeriggio), c'erano i muratori che utilizzavano il trapano e facevano abbastanza rumore fino le 18 più o meno. La sera abbiamo cenato in un ristorante e al nostro ritorno in albergo c'era un cameriere seduto nella hall che ci ha chiesto dove avessimo mangiato, di dove eravamo. Abbiamo risposto alle sue domande per educazione e gentilezza anche se è stato un po' ”invasivo” nel chiedere a mia figlia ”Where are you from?” quando fino a poco tempo prima stavamo parlando in italiano. Una volta entrate in stanza, mia figlia riceve la richiesta su instagram da questo cameriere SENZA avergli mai detto nome e cognome. Il giorno dopo, facciamo colazione ( la quale non era abbondante e neanche troppo degna di un hotel 4 stelle). Dopodiché al check-out, chiediamo al receptionist (che tra l'altro era il responsabile) se fosse normale che un loro dipendente chiedesse l'amicizia su instagram, non sapendo i nostri dati personali, lasciandoci quindi supporre che avesse chiesto direttamente alla reception il nome e cognome di mia figlia. Il responsabile ci ha risposto che avevamo assolutamente ragione e che avrebbe preso dei provvedimenti siccome era inaccettabile e ci avrebbe tenute aggiornate via email sui provvedimenti e ”indagini”. In fine, dopo 2 settimane, non ci ha mai comunicato chi avesse trafugato i dati dalla reception al cameriere. quindi attenzione alle vostre carte di credito o altri dati sensibili che potrebbero essere trasmessi a terze persone indesiderate.

hotel Suisse is in a great location not too far of a walk from the old town, the staff are amazing & it has a really nice and relaxed feel. The only issue is that it is a bit out dated but sometimes that makes it feel more authentic and Italian so not a real complaint :) would most definitely stay again and would recommend to others.

The fabric of the hotel is very good. Clean and fresh and so it should be as I believe it has recently been refurbished. If you want a hotel where there is daytime/night time entertainment this is not for you. It is generally a quiet relaxing hotel. Children are allowed but they will have to provide their own entertainment. There are three pools, one in the spa, one adults only and one that children can use. The pool bar was not in operation while we were there. The hotel is a 50 min walk from the town of Lazise on reasonable paths that are shared with cyclists. But you take your life in your own hands as the cyclists and scooter riders just fly past with no warning. A taxi into town costs 15-20 euro. There is no shuttle bus at the hotel even though it indicates there is on the trip advisor hotel listing. And to the reviewer who says it is a 5 min walk to the lake..you are wrong. I would say it is at least 15 mins and that includes a shortcut through a vineyard and a campsite. The rooms are a decent size. Storage for clothes could be improved with more drawer/shelf space. There is a fridge (no mini bar) which on arrival has two bottles of water in. It seems pot luck as to whether the water is replenished. A good size TV but maybe only 3 English channels (news). The bedside lamps are quite dim...not enough light to read by. All rooms have a balcony or terrace for ground floor. There was no milk to make hot drinks. We purchased some from the local supermarket. Breakfast is more or less typical for a holiday hotel. Fresh fruit..well melon and pineapple, yogurts. Continental style with meats and cheeses plus a pastry section. Don't expect a full English here.... there is bacon, fried egg and sausage but that is all. The food was a decent quality. There is a gripe I do have in that when the bread ran out we were tod it was finished and no more would be coming out.....this wasn't at the end of the breakfast sitting but with still 45 mins to go. NOT ACCEPTABLE. One thing that we observed was a family who loaded up breakfast food of all description including fresh fruit, as well as taking water bottles from the display and then blatantly took it back to their rooms. They took plates piled high and filled bags. It wasn't as if they were having breakfast in their rooms as they were eating breakfast in the dining room. They were clearly taking food to eat later in the day! The staff knew but did nothing. Maybe that is why they ran out of bread. We only dined in the evening twice. The menu is not extensive .....in fact there were only two choices of main meal. Other course were labelled starter, first course, second course, so maybe you are supposed to have one of each course because the size of the main dish is not huge. If you have a decent appetite you will need more than one course. The main problem with this hotel is the lack of staff. There was not enough waiting staff at all so tables were delayed in getting cleared and more importantly food
