Leighwood Lodge

This is one of the most exceptional guest houses I have stayed at in a long career in business. The surrounds are beautiful and nothing was too much trouble for Leigh and Shirley who looked after me. I recommend it as a six star environment.

Perfect location in a good neighbourhood. Close to shopping, restaurants and golf clubs. Large, clean room with a wonderful garden outside and a pool. Friendly and efficient staff. Excellent breakfast. Dinner also available from the talented owner Leigh. We’ll love to come back.

Leighwood Lodge Is an absolutely delightful guesthouse with exceptionally comfortable rooms and a truly stunning garden and pool. Best of all is the amazing hospitality and kindness of all the staff who can’t do enough for every guest. Leighwood is also situated in a fabulous area of Johannesburg. Why would you stay anywhere else?

The most delightful place to stay in leafy safe suburb in Johannesburg. Clean , comfortable large rooms with all u could ask for in a lodge. Beautiful garden and delicious breakfast set in pristine setting. Staff go out of their way to assist in everything . Only place to stay !!

One of our best stays in a private owned guesthouse worldwide and I have been to many! We arrived late and they prepared a wonderful dinner for us with the most romantic set up you could think of with candles and our own table on their terrace. The food was excellent and everyone took so good care of us. The rooms have everything you want. Breakfast was so special, the bread was the best I had for a long time outside of Germany.... They even prepared a lunch for us so that I could have my business lunch there - which was good, as we could discuss some business details very intimate in a fantastic setting. My business partner also was very impressed! So for me 10 stars put of 5 and a definite Yes for everyone traveling to Johannesburg! It is definitely also worth to spend first or last night before or after launghaul flight arriving from wherever. It is only a 30-40 min drive to JNB airport and they arrange private transfer for you for very reasonable rate. We will definitely come back and stay more then one night. A nice shopping center and restaurants are within walking distance.

So enjoyed staying here. Really nice owner and team; nothing too much trouble. Beautiful wooden furniture, ceramics and garden. Amazing breakfast, even catering for our wheat free diets and my hot water with fresh ginger, cider vinegar and lemon. Quiet, nice neighborhood. Walking distance to shops, galleries etc in Rosebank.

We recently visited as an extended family of 13, booking all 6 rooms. The staff wow'ed me. They were the most kind and helpful people. The food was AMAZING, definitely be sure to book some of your meals here during your stay! Due to cold temps, we weren't able to truly experience the beautiful outdoor area however I'm certain that with a visit during another season, you'd be able to relax and enjoy the pool and garden area, too. I saw all the rooms since we booked them all and they're all very nice. We were very comfortable in our big bed with spacious floor and storage space, along with an ensuite bath that had both a tub and shower, and ample sink counter space.

Our stay at Leighwood lodge was perfect! We loved how peaceful and tranquil it was, the rooms were so comfortable and the garden was stunning! Leigh and her staff go above and beyond and the food was divine! Had the best time. We can't wait to return!
