After much deliberation, we chose this resort for our honeymoon, and we were 100% satisfied with the outcome. Primarily, among natural island resorts with expansive lagoons, only Conrad and Four Seasons Landaa Giraavaru fit the bill. There weren't many Koreans, mostly Caucasians, which was a plus for us. The lagoon was fantastic, the house reef snorkeling was excellent, and the food and beverages were superb. Moreover, Louise, the manager, was incredibly kind and helpful throughout our 4-night, 5-day stay, making our honeymoon truly satisfying. We would definitely return 100%!

Compared to other resorts in the Maldives, the scenery here is quite subpar, especially the overwater bungalows which are really bad. This island is several notches below others in terms of natural beauty. The food is also terrible. We tried the underwater restaurant and the Japanese restaurant, and it all tasted like it was cooked by amateur Indian chefs. There was no professional quality at all; in fact, it was worse than street food you'd find in a city. The service was decent. I've been to the Maldives many times, so I didn't need much. The hotel handled laundry and directions fine. Summary: Just read my review; the others aren't reliable. This hotel lacks in scenery, overwater bungalows, and food. It's barely acceptable for a vacation.

The resort is beautiful, but the service was disappointing compared to other places I’ve stayed. Staff professionalism needs improvement. I booked a Half-Board Water Villa, but only breakfast and dinner were included—drinking water at dinner wasn’t complimentary. The food selection was limited and not particularly tasty. Service felt inattentive. I had to introduce myself multiple times, yet our butler still got my name wrong. On checkout day, we even received a message that felt like we were being rushed out—quite impolite. One male staff member also made guests uncomfortable by asking for their contact details, which felt unprofessional. Buggy service was slow. Once at the lobby, the receptionists ignored us and continued chatting even after the buggy had arrived, until the driver had to come find us himself. It was frustrating. The underwater restaurant is photogenic, but hot and full of fish. Food was average—bring sunglasses, a hat, and lots of sunscreen. This was my fourth luxury resort experience, and unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this one. Beautiful property, but poor service. Not worth the price. Needs improvement.

The room was incredibly spacious, with two large bedrooms, a living room with a fully glass floor overlooking the ocean, and a large private pool. Room 349 also had its own private beach, perfect for birdwatching during the day and stunning sunsets in the evening. The butler even took us on a tour of the underwater suite, which I'm already hooked on. The service was impeccable. We had visited Conrad fourteen years ago, and this time we were even more satisfied. We had a 24-hour butler and a dedicated island tour bus. On our first day, after arriving on the island at noon, we wanted to visit the underwater restaurant, but upon inquiry, we found out it was closed. However, to ensure we didn't disappoint, the butler arranged a separate lunch for our family, making it a perfect start to our island adventure. During our stay, we even spotted a whale shark. While chartering a boat with Conrad is expensive, our family of four had a crew of five, ensuring complete safety. The captain and crew worked tirelessly to help us track whale sharks in various areas of the water. Ultimately, we had a miraculous encounter with these majestic marine creatures, face to face. It was an unforgettable experience. Snorkeling on the island can be booked in advance with the butler, and there's a dedicated escort to ensure the safety of the children. We swam quite far from shore, and the two children were so excited that they couldn't swim for the second half, so the staff practically pulled them back. We were so grateful. We tried all the restaurants on the island, and the food was delicious—none disappointing. The breakfast buffet and the Chinese restaurant were average, by comparison. The island spa was a lifesaver. After a day of sunbathing, we went for a full-body treatment. My two daughters and I didn't get any sunburn or tans. Their newly introduced MARGY'S products, especially the face masks, are amazing. My skin instantly looked better than before, and they're even suitable for children.

This is the worst experience I've ever had booking a hotel on Ctrip. It's really a typical case of selling dog meat under false pretenses. Ctrip has taken advantage of all of them. I've complained for several days but it still hasn't been resolved. First of all, Ctrip is setting traps for customers everywhere. The breakfast and dinner included are full of bugs. There are many dishes for dinner that are charged and the food is very limited. Even the most basic water is charged, not to mention drinks. Many other hotels that include breakfast and dinner include alcoholic beverages. Other hotels that act as agents for this hotel have many free items, including champagne in the underwater restaurant, etc. The price is several times cheaper than Ctrip. It's really that Ctrip's middlemen have taken advantage of all of them. They didn't solve the problem when they sent messages to customer service. They were completely robot replies. As someone who’s stayed at quite a few top-tier island resorts St. Regis Bora Bora, Four Seasons properties and similar, Conrad Rangali Maldives more than held its own. Booked 10 nights, ended up staying 14 because flights out via Qatar got messed up with the Middle East stuff. Hotel stepped up big time: let us keep the exact same villa the whole stay and hooked us up with a sweet rate for the extra days. That kind of move makes you feel taken care of. Our concierges Nojua (and Ruslan when she was off) were absolute legends warm, on top of everything, genuinely nice people. Landed early from LA, they put us in a beach villa right away so we could shower and chill instead of sitting around sweaty. We got the sunset villa we wanted (#339) with the private pool and we loved it. Yeah, it’s got a few little scuffs and worn spots, but honestly it just feels real and lived-in, not beat-up. Housekeeping was on point every single day, towels always fresh, AC cranked cold (thank god). Iron and board were there but pretty ancient; coffee machine and kettle worked but looked like they’ve seen better days. Small stuff, not a big deal. Food-wise: • Ithaa Undersea — hands down the star. Got the earliest dinner at 6:30, snapped reef pics in daylight, then watched it go full magic at night. 7-course was killer, super creative. Shoutout to Richard Cross the guy clearly loves what he does. Worth every penny. • Champagne & Lobster Saturdays beach vibes, live band, bottomless bubbles, insane seafood. If you’re there on a Saturday, don’t skip it. • Wine Cellar solid tasting menu with wines included. Good deal if you drink nice stuff, though they could explain the pairings a bit more. • Vilu (Italian), Sunset Grill, Ufaa (Chinese) all tasty and reliable.
• Cheese fondue was fun and the guy running it was awesome with the cheese stories, but felt a tad overpriced.
• Maldivian Night was meh buffet plus 20-min drum thing. Compared to Polynesian or Hawaiian nights we’ve done elsewhere, it didn’t really bring the culture or energy.
• Koko (Japanese chef’s table) was the one real miss. Chef and manager were both super nice and professional, but for that kind of money the food just didn’t deliver flavors off, portions small, not really Japanese-level. We talked to a other couples same vibe. I’d way rather order room service and watch sunset from our villa deck for literally a third of the price. Felt like the weak link in an otherwise strong lineup. Breakfasts were great big buffet on the other island if you want variety (but more kids), or chill à la carte closer by. We stuck with the quiet one. Beach and pool? Perfect. Water like glass, sand like powdered sugar, staff hustling in that heat with smiles and cold drinks nonstop. They make it look easy. Bottom line: 5 stars, easy. It’s not the super-shiny Ritz or Four Seasons polish (and it doesn’t cost as much either) but for the price in the Maldives, it’s outstanding value.
