Not a bad place to stay for the price. Will stay here again. Very good location.

2000 not 200 characters would not be enough to cover my warning to stay away from this place. The photos must be of some other location, they don't match what we stayed in. We were tired and picked a bad time accommodation wise, Mostly we should have looked at the year old complaints that were still unfixed. There were people selling items in the parking lot, there were lots of potholes in the driver ways, the carpet and sheets were stained, the exit doors repeatedly propped open. Our first floor window was fastened by a bent screw. In order to save Super 8 the trouble of responding with their usual 'Shock' of hearing after a year or so of the same issues I will answer for them. "Wyndham Super 8 are horrified to hear about the situation you and thousands of others spending their hard earned money have constantly found here. We sincerely promise you they will be looked into as they have in the past and receive the same amount of attention or less. We really don't intend to do anything to make your stay better or fix any of the issues you have raised as long as you are willing to pay for substandard treatment. While we do have plenty of room at our inn, we suggest you might try a local stable. While they are a lot cheaper, have clean accommodation and would be safer they don't spend a small fortune on advertising lies about our location and instead actually do something about their customers complaints".

1st room smelled badly, dirty, not cleaned, bedspread, shower curtain, hangers broken, store hangers left in room. We were given a second room and it was just as bad if not worse. Breakfast consisted of apples, bread for toast, and some batter for a waffle. This hotel is in desperate need of repair, and serious updating, replacing furniture, non existent lamps, room very dark. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel at all.

Absolutely disgusting. Total lack of cleanliness and maintenance. Room was filthy, holes in bedspread, Bathroom door was damaged. A/C was not working properly.

No housekeeping services! Old smelly, a/c , internet, tv , phone didn’t work. Staff was not friendly or customer friendly. Keycards didn’t work, people were putting Rocks to prop doors open.

Old run down Super 8 with "Wyndham" name attached. The place needs an update. It was pretty gross. The furniture and carpet needs replacing. It just felt dirty. The price was high for what we got.

The service was great and the breakfast was very good. What was not so great was the room itself. The carpet was old and stained, coffee cups but no coffee pot, the sheets barely fit the bed. The room seemed to be clean and the shower was great, but only one bar of soap for both the shower and the sink.

This motel is in dire need of major repairs and updating! It took 1/2 hour per registrant just to check in! The hall carpet and tile to our room looked like it hadn't been cleaned in days/weeks/months. Opening the door to our room we were met with a rug so stained and dirty that we needed to keep shoes on throughout the stay there. Breakfast was supposed to begin at 6:30....the clerk didn't begin getting the breakfast area ready until 6:20 when I inquired about the time. The motel is quite old and in urgent need of repairs and updating. It really deserves a 0 rating. Check out other places in Rapid City before booking here.

The room was clean , bed was comfortable , the atmosphere was quiet no distributions to sleep! Plenty clean towels provided and shower was nice and strong …. The pool was perfect super clean and nice for dip after breakfast before hitting road again

This was a very nice place super friendly people and very nice staff overall I enjoyed the stay. I will be back next year. I was very impressed with everything and breakfast was nice to have first thing this morning. If you want a nice room book here.

It was clean and quiet. The bed was comfortable. I wouldn’t ask for more for an inexpensive nights stay.

Beware. If you’re concerned about having a secure room, this is not the place. There was no locking mechanism on the window and the room door would not fully shut and therefore not lock. The room also had the ambiance of blood splatter on the walls. The curtains and furniture upholstery were very dirty and the carpet was damaged/stained. I also found that the secure side doors were routinely propped open by rocks - one which I tried wouldn’t open with the room key card. I suspect this might be an issue with others. The only thing the person at the front desk said about all of it was that they’re waiting for a remodel. While they’re waiting, I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.

We liked the easy checkin, easy access to parking and room. The pillows were a little on the small side. The toilet and sink were also very small. We didn’t swim but saw they have a pool. We ate breakfast (we had cereal, pastries and coffee.) We booked through TripAdvisor.

Given that Rapid City is busy with many tourists this time of year, and hotels are very expensive, Super 8 offers. A relatively low cost alternative which is safe, clean and adequate.
